I have been taking these vitamins for almost a year and I can say it has improved my skin, hair, and nails as advertised. For anyone who is losing hair to perimenopause or other medical issues (weight loss, etc), start these ASAP and don't stop.

I read a review that said these don’t digest because they took a long time to dissolve in water 🤦‍♀️, which scarily has 700-some odd “helpful” votes. This is not even close to what happens in the digestive tract, and is a misleading statement. The pH of water is neutral (7). The pH of the stomach is 1 (HIGHLY acidic due to the hydrochloric acid our bodies make to digest foods and break down complex nutrients so our bodies can absorb & use them). Sinking a vitamin in water and saying they won’t digest is completely misleading and inaccurate. These capsules are designed to dissolve at a specific rate IN THE DIGESTIVE TRACT, not a glass of water. These vitamins DO work to improve hair, skin, and nail health. I’ve been taking these for several years and they have improved the condition of my hair, skin, and nails. I have thyroid disease and an autoimmune condition that has caused my hair to thin out badly and become brittle, and made my nail and skin condition poor as well. I’m 38 and I’m a skincare & hair care formulator with a small business, and I hold myself to the highest standards regarding transparency and educating my clients about false beauty claims and ingredients, and ethically sourcing my raw materials. I also have a background in medicine, I am educated extensively in these fields. You can fact check me, in fact, I encourage you to do so. Don’t let a completely irrelevant glass of water “test” deter you. This supplement has everything the body needs to improve the health of hair, skin, and nails from within, which is where it all starts. This product doesn’t regrow hair, but it does improve the texture and health, in my experience. My nails look much better as well. This is a safe vitamin (per my doctor, ALWAYS consult your doctor before starting a supplement, and read the ingredients list for potential allergens) containing vitamins/nutrients the body needs anyway, and is “natural” (I use this term loosely because “natural” has no meaning in the skincare and haircare world; just like “green” has no meaning, it’s a gimmick, if you want proof of this, check with the FDA; no laws or regulations exist that define “natural” or “green” in beauty/cosmetics and it is just another gimmicky, misleading way for beauty companies to take your $$, no regulations or laws exist to prevent any company from making these claims and no definitions or parameters currently exist that even define what they mean in beauty), for those who want a product with no “chemicals” (meaning chemical actives, I.e. minoxidil, as every single thing on earth is a chemical & has a chemical formula; water is a chemical, H2O is it’s chemical formula). Please take the time time to check the facts on products because the cosmetic/beauty industry is almost entirely unregulated as far as claims companies can make, save for any kind of claim to treat or prevent conditions, I.e. sunscreens, as these types of products are considered drugs by the FDA. These do digest, but can be a bit irritating on an empty stomach if you happen to have a sensitive tummy. I do have a long history of GI problems as part of my health conditions, so I take these with food to prevent a bellyache. For the price, you can’t really beat these as a simple and effective way to help improve the condition of hair, skin, & nails, as long as your doc gives you the green light. I hope this helps for anyone who isn’t aware of the plethora of misinformation in beauty, it’s literally my job to know the science and the laws/regs about products and ingredients, and to be 100% FDA compliant. Do your homework folks, because there is a TON of bad, misleading “info” out there about all things beauty. All in all, I give this product 5 stars. This is a great way to improve your beauty regimen from the inside out, and good health will always be the number one way to keep your hair, skin, and nails looking and feeling good.

I accidentally ordered the soft gel version of this Hair, Skin & Nails product, instead of the gummies of this same product which I had previously been taking for some time. I will continue to order the soft gels again if the price of the soft gels continues to be less expensive than the gummies. However I strongly suggest that people take these with a meal--both to avoid the taste / smell of them, and to avoid an upset stomach. Overall, I do note that this product works--I have stronger, longer nails now; my hair seems to be fuller, too.

I did research, read a lot of reviews, and decided to give Nature's Bounty Advanced Hair Skin & Nails vitamins a try. Menopause does a number to our bodies, am I right ladies?! My husband has aged 😍 without much work and I have to work very hard to be 😍...lol. My hair lost its umph, my skin looked dull and I had no energy. So, I decided it was time to add a woman's vitamin to my daily self care routine. I've been taking these Nature's Bounty vitamins every morning for almost a month and have already noticed a difference. Last weekend I met my niece for breakfast and she said I looked different, that my skin had a little glow to it and my hair looked fuller. I had noticed this too, but, because I had only been taking the vitamins a short time, I thought it was just wishful thinking. The research I did said the effects of the vitamins could take up to 3 months to be noticeable, but I'm almost a month in, and I definitely look and feel different. I'm excited to say my skin has a nice subtle glow, my nails are growing, and my hair is already looking healthier. And energy? Omg, I definitely have more energy. I was afraid the vitamins would give me that too much caffeine feeling, and that's not the kind of energy that makes me feel good. Instead, I have energy because I feel good. None of that speedy feeling, just the desire to get things done. Boy, have I missed that feeling and I'm thrilled to have it back! These Nature's Bounty vitamins are very easy to take. I take 3 pills, per the directions, every morning with a tall glass of water, followed by my coffee. The bottle is very big and I believe the quantity is enough to last 6 weeks. At $10 a bottle, compared to the cost of other vitamins, it's a very, very good deal. I subscribed so I can get them shipped automatically because I don't want to be without them. I have to say, I'm extremely pleased with my Nature's Bounty vitamin purchase. I've only been taking them for a short time, but I'm already feeling like my old self before menopause drained me, and I can't wait to see how I feel after a few months of feeling the full effects. Ladies, do yourself a favor, buy these vitamins. Your skin and nails will thank you. Your hair will thank you. But, most of all, your body will thank you, because you'll start feeling better in ways you didn't realize you weren't feeling so good. These pills are so effective. They strengthen my nails and add length. You have to be consistent. At 1 point I stopped taking the pills to see if it was really the pills affecting the growth period it indeed was. I restarted and the improvement returned.

I’m rating 3 stars because the pills themselves are pretty and easy to swallow and not particularly large. That said, these made me incredibly bloated (like hard stomach feeling) and nauseous. It is likely due to the amount of biotin in these supplements which is something I personally have some sensitivity with, but if you’re someone who’s prone to bloat or can’t handle too much vitamin b/derivatives of vitamin b, I would not recommend this supplement. I have to unfortunately return it. I took this for about a week and once I stopped all negative side effects ended.
