Used twice for jump start and worked fine.[Good]1) + - copper clamps have strong springs to grab terminals.2) If + - are reversed red lamp turn on…no damage to a car.3) The case is designed well for organizing many accessories.[Not good]1) User manual is disgustingly small…today’s trend.I can’t read without loupe.If I try to read on a busy road…it is frightening to imagine.So I scanned it and stored in my computer(x5 size/resolution).Then I printed it to the letter size.[Update]5 months passed and I finally re-charged it full.Jump start x2 for me & x1 for stranger on the street.Total 3 times in 5 months without re-charging.This is the most amazing item I have ever started Amazon purchase.

This thing is great! I bought it to have for emergencies, but it turns out that my truck (which I don't use too much) is being temperamental and won't start. Maybe because it is so cold.I have jump started it 5 times now and the power level on the MotorCord is still full - incredible!I was expecting to have to recharge all the time - it is so very nice to have the power reserve that I don't have to.Other things are good too - well made, looks nice, nice case and so on.I am very happy with this jump starter. First class.

The product is surprisingly small and light, and yet once charged does a remarkable job on the smallest jobs (charging a phone) to the largest (so far, truck) where it jump charged a vehicle that had lost it's juice. The carrying case for the unit, which includes charge cables and adapters is also nice, and zips up securely for organization. I was surprised, semi-large box at delivery, medium sized zip-up case, and then a small rectangular hard shell unit with a variety of port adapters for various uses. I already had two other units - small stand alone travel battery charger for phone, and a vehicle battery trickle system charger, for dead vehicle batteries. This unit will be taken on travel adventures - expedition jeep trips - and will easily pack. Otherwise it will either travel in a vehicle and/or be used (and recharged) as necessary. A week after I got it, (and charged it up) a 24 hr. power outage in our area. I tried to use it to charge both a mobile phone and a lap top - worked seamlessly. Kudos to the "link" that introduced me/others to the unit.

I have been down sick with a viral infection, and have not been able to drive my car. It sat long enough so that the battery went dead. I have other products on hand, but they are very cumbersome to use. After doing some research on this type of product, i decided to send for the Motorcord Multi-functional super. I got to tell you I was not disappointed. After the car sitting for almost four months, i connected up the Motorcord and bang the car started like i had put a new battery in it. I definitely would recommend this product as primary and backup system for starting vehicles. it"s very compact and easily does the job it was designed to do. Buy it. You wont be sorry. Lee F. I bought this device to use in my truck and also in my UTV. It is great to have when you are up on the mountains and you run into someone whose battery has died leaving them a long way from help. Very powerful and has started my truck several times which has a 5.7L engine even when the battery does not even have enough juice in it to make a click or light the dome light even dimly.

Okay, I admit it, I am a dinosaur. When jumping a vehicle I expect to either lug a 30# battery up to the dead car or to wave another car in close enough hopefully to get the jumper cables to reach. The Motorcord jump starter is compact, self contained and lightweight, so I did not expect it to work. It's 10 degrees outside. My class A rv had not been started in 2 months and the battery was deader than a door nail. I hooked the clamps from the Motorcord to the Rv, turned the key and the 454 big block engine immediately cranked and fired up. I'm now a believer and I will always have one of these things on board. Buy one.

I bought this once because I kept leaving my lights on. It will jump start your car with no problems.I fried the one I had by plugging a removable drive into it after losing the power cord to the drive and all it took to reset the power brick was to plug it into the charger. I bought this second one thinking the first one was fried so now I have one and my wife has one. The thing runs my laptop for several hours, charges almost anything and has a built in light for power outages. It is a MUST HAVE if you lose power a lot.

Was quite skeptical of device due to it being so small! Had an old style (big) charger/starter that is several years old but not portable and wanted.something to carry in the car.My daughter was visiting and when she was ready to go back home, she couldn't start her car. Well! isn't this the perfect time to do some testing :-)She came back in a couple of minutes later with a big smile on her face. "Wow, dad this really works."She didn't allow the car to run long enough so had to use the device a second time and was quite happy with the results.Easy to use and really works! 3 starts so far and only one led down. Not too shabby!
