Teacher's Bag of Tricks: 101 Instant Lessons for Classroom Fun! Paperback – December 1, 1986

I am a substitute teacher and this book has saved me on many occasions. I know that I won't use everything in here, but what I have used, the children have loved. I have used primarily for 3rd grade to 7th grade. The children have asked me how to do some of the fun tricks so they can do it when their teacher comes back. Other substitutes have seen some of the fun stuff I do on the board, and ordered their own. Darn, I should have kept my secret because we are in the same school district! Most everything you can do on the board or make prints to hand out!

I found that this book is full of many reproducibles and ideas to keep students busy in the classroom. Although I plan on using it while substituting, classroom teachers can use many of these activities when their lessons run short or they have 5 or 10 minutes to fill.

This book has a lot of great ideas and little games which come in handy as lesson breaks for a full time teacher and also a lot of these fun games that will make you be the fun casual teacher

Great for October

Bag of Tricks only had a few new things in it. I'm glad it was so cheap. It was well packaged and arrived quickly.

Both me and my kids loved the ideas in this book. I will be referring to this again and again in the coming school year! Thanks!

If you want to freshen up your transition activites or add to your repetoire as a substitute, this is the book for you!

This book has a few "good" ideas but needs to be updated. A few of the games mentioned within the book have reference to celebrities that I have no idea who they are nevermind my students. Poorly illustrated and black and white. The aforementioned "good" ideas are not worth the $10 you will spend on this book. UPDATE and reprint!
