The item arrived by the promised delivery date. It was relatively easy to fit and works well. The whole transaction was a breeze. Recommended.

Bought this to replace the piston in my aging Vertagear gaming chair. Perfect replacement. Gives the same lowest level with an extra 1inch/2.5cm of height. Easy to fit, well packaged and seems to work really well. Only time will tell on its longevity. TOP TIP: Be aware that there are varying low and height differences so be sure to measure your existing pistons lowest, highest, overall length and travel length. It's also a good idea to check the taper at the bottom of your existing pistons as not all pistons are equal in this area. This one sticks through the bottom quite a bit so if your wheel base is low to the ground it will probably hit the floor before the wheels. In that case go for one with less of a taper so not so much of the piston sticks out the bottom of your wheel base.

MASTERY MART 9 Inches to 13 Inches Gas Lift Cylinder for Most Office Chair, Fitted a Corsair T3 rush gaming chair which the cylinder failed. I believe the Corsair chair has had two replacements cylinders with the last one lasting around 6 months before failing spectacularly. This fitted the gaming chair perfectly and is a good replacement. I'm hoping this last far more than 6 months so will update the review if anything happens. Installing the cylinder was easy enough i couldn't salvage the base plate due to the damage so i also had to replace the tilt plate and base with the wheel. Overall This so far is good and fitted perfectly well, good value comparing to the original which in my opinion fails fairly quickly and the person isn't at all heavy.

Was a good fit, functionally works, but has an issue of lifting it's self to full height over night from time to time, not that much of a big deal.

The new cylinder was fine, fitted in seconds and works perfectly. The problem is removing the old one. No skill is needed, only a stillson wrench (the bigger, the better) a heavy hammer and brute strength! There are plenty of videos on YouTube, but basically you lay the chair on its side and clamp the stillson to the stem just below where it enters the chair. Then heave-ho, it isn't going to be easy! It doesn't matter which way you turn it, but you must force the tapered joint to release. It will help if whoever fitted it smeared it with grease first. When done, take the base unit outside and hit the base of the old cylinder really hard with a heavy hammer. Again, it's a tight taper fit and really heavy blows will be required. Once done, that's it - just pop the new one in. Don't forget to first replace any gaiters covering the cylinder, or you will be reaching for the stillson again!

Absolutely spot on. Delivery was very quick, it's a well made piece, excellent. Not much more I can say. BUT be prepared to have a nightmare getting your old one out. (obviously this is nothing to do with this, just a foreword to everyone replacing). I have found the best way is once you have the chair off, find a barrel, flip it upside down so the legs rest on the barrel. Then get a hammer and give it all you have. They are 'friction' connections (like a car wheel hub). Try not to lose you rag 👍

Great replacement cylinder! The size was spot-on, installation was straightforward, and it brought my chair right back to the height and stability it originally had. Smooth lift, solid feel, and no sinking issues at all. Exactly what I needed highly recommend if you’re repairing or upgrading an office chair.

Good enough but not great

This worked perfectly to fix our computer chair and our manners! It was embarrassing to slowly sink uncontrollably in our computer chair every time we sat in it - especially in front of guests. It was easy to assemble and the chair feels very sturdy now. I love not sinking anymore! It really is the little things in life that make me feel happy, this chair part helped a lot!
