Got these for a Thomasina Miers recipe. No evidence of any problems with the chillies mentioned in some of the other reviews. They are extremely mild and I tried a piece before it was put in the hot pan before grinding to make a spice mix and it was mild to my taste buds. They are in Rendang curry recipe and it turned out very well but I would have liked a little spicier. We have used them in other curries since and maybe will try rehydrating them and see if that brings out more flavour.

What a lovely flavour! I haven't tasted Kashmiri chillis before so this weeks curry was the first time. I threw 2 in whole (without soaking but rinsed) and after simmering for 20 mins they gave off a beautiful multi dimensional spice flavour. Not overly hot, just a pleasant zing. These little beauties now have a permanent place in our spice cupboard, and with such a big bag (see pic) they should last us quite some time.

I use large amounts of these for chutneys and usually buy from ebay or similar which on a whole have always been very dry and can vary in quality. These are very good quality compared to the others, they still feel soft and all looked a very good colour.

Always need Kashmiri chillis for when I do Rick steins leg of lamb with chillies... amazing simple tasty recipe I urge you spice fans to give it a go

What a waste of money. We opened the bag up and all the Kashmiri chillies were covered in white mould. Are they not dried properly before they are bagged up? Don't waste your money!

Lovely flavour and you get loads so good value. Only caveat - these are mild but I chopped two up and the seeds made it waaaay to hot - ruined my dhansak - next I’ll take out seeds :)

What a treat. Flavorful and sweet-spicy. Loved the quality and texture as a whole and ground versions. Used in multiple Indian, Asian, and American dishes and loved the mildness and sweetness of the resulting dish.

Sehr gut und nicht zu scharf, habe damit ein Crispy Chili Öl zubereitet, empfehlenswert
