This adds an element to my cooking that i was definitely not prepared for. I'd never used or even heard of sumac until I bought it. Didn't know how to use it or what type of dishes it was for. Still dont really to be honest. Trial and error and so forth.Added it to some fried tomatoes, onions and peppers and the flavour was lovely. A very pleasant, almost lemon citrussy kind of flavour burst forth. But not sweet. It's hard to describe. Maybe like a savoury citrus twang that really brought the flavours of the pan alive. Definitely going to be used. This is going to be like my new tumeric that I couldn't stop using after leading my sheltered basic spice life for so long!!Plus you get so much! and it arrived very quickly too. Definitely worth a go

Finally!!!! I have been for a sumac that tastes like the one from my grandmother's farm when I was a child in the Middle East. Unfortunately she dies in 2015 and since then I've been looking for a good replacement. The Turkish brands just didn't do it for me for some reason. Finally decided to try one from elsewhere in the Middle East, I am so glad. I use it in Fattoush salad and on raw onions before adding to boiled egg wraps. Arrived super fast too, thank you so much!
