Advanced Medical Silicone Scar Gel - Topical Gel for Scar Treatment on Face and Body - Scar Mark Removal of Old and New Scars due to C-Section, Surgery, Injury, Burns, Acne, Stretch Marks

So I was in a bad car accident at the end of 2022 and, to say the least, I have lots of different types of scars that I've been able to use to experiment with this product. The picture I've included is the worst of them, a skin graft across my shin. As you can see - I've gotten some results, applying twice a day (alongside a LOT of scar revision massage). Red, raised areas have softened and lightened. But it's best to temper your expectations. There is no topical product on the market that will make your scars disappear (trust me, I've looked). This gel has made the most significant difference on hypertrophic tissue, but results have been much less significant on areas that healed as flat, white scars. I think that's the best you can expect from silicone gel products; it's also the largest, least expensive option I could find. For those reasons I've given it the full 5 stars.

This gel dries in a few minutes. It's only been a day but it is alleviating the dry tight feel like the other silicone products I've tried. The old serum I had took 10-15 minutes to fully dry. This is more like 5. This Glavedo 30 gram tube was the best value per volume that I could find. It was 9.97 USD when I got it. A great value.I've only started using silicone after two years of annoying scar formation so I can't speak to its effectiveness at flattening out the keloid structure. After a few days though it went from a deep angry red to a more pinkish color so it stood out less if such things matter to you.I'll update this review if it's warranted.Update: After a longer time using this and a silcone oil I have observations. The gel I think contains less silicone and requires more applications to keep the scar tissue protected. With this gel it needs to be applied 4 times a day and is rubbed off overnight. With the oil I apply twice a day and it stays protective overnight. The gel is still useful though as it definitely cures (dries) quicker. I'll keep a tube in my vehicle for days when I forget the morning oil application.

I have had melanoma cancer 5 times on the left cheek. Seven surgeries and one burn field done to them. The last one would not even hold the stiches as the skin was too thin. So, I spent 4 weeks with a hole in my face. You could put a quarter in the hole when the stiches pulled free. The largest chunk of scar was over one of the sinus holes making it very difficult to drain. Had used a no silicone scar gel on it for several weeks with very little improvement. I switched to this gel and started to see an improvement in just a week. It has continued to shrink the lump and the rest of the scars are fading. I have used it for over 8 weeks and plan to continue for a while. Have used it on one other small scar and am on the same tube.

Comparing to the last silicone gel brand I expected it to be more clear than milky like a cortisone cream & it doesn't spread as nicely as my other brand. But I did like the price point the former brand costing $70 each. It's too early to say if it's working since I've only had it a few days. I do couple my silicone gel use with pure vitamin E oil but I like the gel at night because I don't like thick oils & creams while I sleep & I apply mid-day so we'll see.

I bought this at the request of my dermatologist to smooth and massage an area that had stitches removed. It is a light cool gel that allows smooth movement over skin.

I didn’t put it on my scar on on the area where i had weird brown raised bumps on the face. I was like let’s try this. So I had been applying on the bumps daily for a few weeks, then one day I just realized the bumps became smaller (very obvious) and the color looks more even to skin tone. I almost finished the tube after a year so am gonna buy another one. Though the silicone gel started to smell like a wet towel after a while.

I have 8 sutures, 4 in the deeper tissue and 4 on top layer of my skin. The 4 top stitches have been pulled by my Dr and I applied this silicon cream to assist with the healing. Sad to say - it does nothing to speed up the healing at all. I am very disappointed in this product. I have not tried it on burns, so I can't say if it works better for that or not.I ordered now a different, more expensive product.All I can say is, that the appearance of my scar has not improved in the 6 weeks I have been using this cream 2 - 3x a day. It is still red and has not flattered out. I cannot recommend this product.
