Good drop cloth.
I ordered the wrong size but that's my fault. The drop cloth is a nice weight. The edges are hemmed and/or finished with no frays. Arrived clean in package with no holes in package nor drop cloth. I hope my photos help folks decide. I will buy another one in the future but it will be the correct size. The 4'x12' size I bought would be perfect for laying under a long wall you are painting with a roller. This is a canvas with some natural brown flecks of color in the fibers.

Read if you are making slip covers or curtain! Updated! x2
I bought the 9 x12 to make a slipcover for my couch. They bleached out great and I love that I can snip the end and rip down the side and it stays straight, so much easier than trying to cut long strips with scissors! These came as one whole piece with no seam so its an amazing amount of fabric for the price! I bought four total and all have been seamless. I definitely plan to purchase more of them.Update: I have purchased 6 more since the original 4. These 6 were not one solid piece of fabric. They were seamed up the middle with white thread, (the first batch were sewn with brown thread). I opened one of the second group since I had read other reviews of varied success. This cloth bleached much whiter than the first but had a very wrinkled texture almost like seersucker, Not really what I wanted for a couch slipcover. The first batch is very heavy with no wrinkling. So I returned the unopened packages and ordered a sample of the 11 oz cotton duck from Chicago Canvas directly to see if that will match the original batch of cloth.I still think they are an excellent product but they are intended for drop clothes so if you need a large amount of consistent product then ordering the cotton duck directly from Chicago Canvas website may be the best idea. It is still an excellent value!UPDATE#2 Chicago Canvas sells a 10 oz white canvas so you can save yourself the time and trouble of bleaching. Since I was already committed I ordered the 11.5 oz natural canvas duck and it bleaches beautifully. You can order the width and length you would like to get continuous yardage and the fabric and heavy and super durable. I wish I had started with this but all my cushions are already done. It will all blend well enough but I wish I had started with the website!

Holds up great to even the messiest kiddos
Dozens of toddlers splattered paint all over this, and painted directly on it, on day 1. The cloth held up extremely well with hardly any paint making its way through. No damage to the floor underneath. I will definitely purchase this for all our future painting projects.

Good, But Shorter Than MFG. Stated Finished Length
Having read previous reviews before ordering, right out of the package I laid my drop cloth out flat and measured it. Like some have said it wasn't the exact finished length the package said it was supposed to be. Mine was 5" shorter then the finished dimensions stated on the package. I went ahead and washed it once in cool water with a Tide Pod Free and Clear and a scoop of Oxy-Clean then dried on my dryer's warm/delicate setting since this is how I will be treating it in the future.Like other reviewer's said it did shrink a great deal length wise but after 1 wash and dry as stated above I was left with 5.1333 yards. This was perfect since I needed 5 yards for a sewing pattern. The fabric softened up quite a bit treating it like I did. The weave on this drop cloth was looser then I expected. If anyone was considering this drop cloth for making curtains it does have a lovely weight and drape for curtains after washing. I did get some very minor pilling in spots which was unexpected but if you are using it for a drop cloth or dust cover that doesn't matter. I'm using this to make a wearable muslin for a jacket even though the fabric became softer than I anticipated. I won't know how durable the fabric is until I make the muslin, it has seen some use, and it's been washed again to check for additional shrinkage, pilling, or other issues. What kept this drop cloth from getting 5 stars from me was the finished length should have been more accurate. The suppliers Chicago Canvas get these from seem to be ripping off the company enough inches of fabric on at least some of the canvases (if not all of them) that it would add up to quite a LOT of fabric. I still wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of these either for a drop cloth or for 5 yards of med-heavy sewing fabric for muslins. I'll try to update this review in the future for how well it held up.

Cheap curtain option to cover ugly utility area.
Didn't use this for painting. I used it to cover the utility area in my apartment's laundry room/pantry. I bought two and only used one, but I may add the other one to make it look more like curtains. It was a quick fix to this eyesore.

Excellent quality canvas!
I am very happy with the tight weave and heavy weight of this painters canvas. I am using it to cover a 10x10 roll up door for sealing/insulation. It's already noticably better
