Q: how many quarts will it take to fill after filter replacement?

5.5 qts exactly after pan removal and filter replacement!! Check your transmission fluid hot the day before with your oil dip stick. Then you can match it to your new fluid level after it gets up to temperature. I am assuming that your transmission has no leaks. Russ

Q: does this fit 2012 vw routan that has the 62te transmission?

Yes, this is the filter for the 62TE transmission. It does not come with the pan gasket

Q: Does this gasket have the 12 bolt holes or 14

I don't remember my filter coming with the gasket. OEM gasket for this is RTV. I used the felpro gasket, 12 holes for a 2012 T&C.
