Worth the money
I love this bottle. I was very scared to purchase a bottle that cost that much, but it is well worth it. I bought it to take on a camping trip that will not have water access to our camp site. I am planning to use it purify water from a stream that will be my water source. It keeps the water ice for a long time. I would recommend purchasing the 24 oz, I seem to go through my water fast, and I have the 24 oz size. It is not the easiest to carry so I purchased the cover made for it, not happy with the cover. overall, I love the bottle and anxious to see how it works on my camping trip

Awesome UV Self cleaning bottle
We wanted to get a self cleaning UV filtered bottle for our Costa Rica vacation as recommended by our Travel doctor due to water sanitization concerns in Costa Rica and this was bang on - value for money. CR doesn't have portable water everywhere and in some national parks you cannot carry plastic bottles. So this was a life savior. We bought 2 of these and just kept filling it with water whenever we ran out. Worry free. The only catch is these do not have any holders to carry easily, so we got some silicone rings with carabiners to attach them to our backpacks and that worked (though the carabiners and silicone ring broke eventually). Maybe we will research and get better quality holders for next time. Otherwise - the bottle itself was awesome. We had a 1 month vacation and somehow just 1 charge lasted the entire trip. Highly recommended.

Super expensive but nice.
I love the bottle and the concept. I do drink more water, but this is very expensive. You need to buy the top so you can add a carrying strap. Would be a 5 but it's so expensive.

Orange light of death, slow support
UPDATE 2: Just one month after receiving and using the replacement I was sent, it too has failed with the same orange light and not activating with the button press. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY. --- UPDATE: Finally received the new cap from Larq and hope the first one being broken was a rare defect. Will update in a bit but I still can't excuse the fact it takes their support about a month to fix the situation. --- When I first received the Larq bottle, I loved it. The bottle self-cleaned and kept the water tasting good even after a week of not washing it. Clearly this UV technology is the key to keeping water bottles fresh (regular bottles start tasting and smelling rancid after a couple days). Unfortunately, only a month later, it started to break down. The rubber grommet that seals the cap started failing (constantly needed to be re-seated) and the sensors inside broke and won't let the bottle activate the UV light. Now I am left with $100 water bottle that doesn't work (as you can see in the video). But wait, there's a warranty for these kind of things. Surely that would solve my problems? Good luck getting in contact with their support. Took them 12 days to respond via email and I still haven't received a new cap 20 days later. If you have a problem, skip their support and just go through Amazon instead. Overall I cannot recommend this product. Not only is there some kind of design flaw, but their support is terribly slow. I could justify the $100 cost if the cap worked or even if their support was somewhat efficient. Sadly it just leaves a bad taste. Both the flawed water bottle and slow as molasses company support.

Science, not an ‘idea’
Putting in my two cents here... UV-C light falls in the only spectrum of UV that can affect DNA replication. The light is enough to stop replication, not completely kill the bacteria. That’s enough for commercial use, both in the UVC wands, phone cleaners, and this water bottle. Why? Cells that do not replicate cannot infect. I do not understand the notion that the light ‘does not kill chemicals secreted by bacteria, which makes you sick’. Bacteria makes you sick. And if you disrupt the dna activity of everything in the bottle, there’s nothing alive that would be harmful. There is no perfect water. Don’t even get me started on how many CFU (coliform forming units- or fecal matter contamination) there is in tap water and bottled water. This water bottle comes pretty darn close to perfect. It doesn’t ‘filter’ so you will occasionally get a metallic taste from various sources- water with lower pH, the metal in water from older pipes. Should be fine as long as there’s not high lead levels. Every city has a water report that tells you the content, including if there’s fluoride (good for you), lead (not good for you). Also a stainless steel container is not one that ‘encourages’ biofilm activity- that would be plastic, which this is not. There are several reviews floating on the interweb from medical ppl doubting that it would work or that UVC light DOES work. As a general rule, don’t side with a camp that makes claims without evidence. Research. Science. “Trust me, I’m a doctor” is only a t-shirt slogan. A good doctor can explain to you why- with both the research done and clinical effects. I’ve never used that phrase and I don’t plan on it. Tl;dr —- The Larq water bottle is great for travelers, nomads, water purists like me. UVC light is proven to de-germ. It does not filter which is generally okay. A little bit of metal is fine, a lot of lead in your city water is not. Please stop upvoting unproven claims.

I Love This Bottle
This is my favorite water bottle I have ever purchased. Right out of the box when you pick it up it feels premium in the hand. The instructions are easy to understand which is something I was concerned about but it's super easy. Charges fairly quickly. It is micro-USB and not USB-C which is a bummer but it's all good. Mainly because a charge will last you several weeks based on use. The bottle itself is beautiful and fits in the water pouch of my day bag like a glove. For me, it's one of the purchases that make you go "why have I been using anything but this?" I was also shocked at how cold the water stayed after a full day of running around. The water by the end of my day was still surprisingly cool and crisp. I might have to get their water pitcher for the fridge.

This is my second bottle. Bought the first over a year ago and have not had any problems with smelly bottles since then. Got this one to get a smaller size.
