Great quality, easy to use and very sturdy. I would highly recommend if you reload
This is a great product for reloading. It's simple to use, works fast and not only looks sturdy but feels it also. I've used it now for two years. Either pop out the spent primers into the garage or use the sturdy plastic tube to catch them. You literally can use it in the livingroom watching TV. It's a quiet and clean way to deprime your brass before cleaning or after to size the brass. Great to have next to the reloading counter incase you need to quickly get a primer out that's not seated well without having to put it through the resizing die again

Very Good Tools
This is a beautiful depriming tool. Sturdy, but lightweight, easy on the hand, and it just always works. Always. I like my bench in the garage, but I also like being warm in the house with the TV. As for the scale, which I also bought, after it was calibrated, it is accurate to within what looks like .0025, as far as I can tell... which is plenty safe and accurate for my use as a verification of volume dispensed smokeless powder Both tools are worth the money. I just deprimed 300 cases watching the first half of the Sunday Night Football game without having to take my eyes off the TV.

Excellent de-priming concept with a few quirks - 4 stars
This de-primer is almost perfect (in my opinion), but not quite. Pros: I like the metal construction. I like the simplicity of operation once set up. I like the concept. I like the fact that I was able to remove stubborn large rifle primers from 30-06 cases with some effort, but they came out. My experience with this tool is once I got the right size collect installed (there are 3--the small one comes installed, and the other 2 collets are mounted on the bottom side of the frame), it worked very well. Cons: The O-ring in the knurled sleeve wants to keep working out. Not a big deal, but annyoying. The primer catcher hole sometimes spits de-primed primers back out at the operator if you tilt the tool too far one way or the other. The clear plastic sleeve works loose on occasion. If the operator is not careful, the sleeve can work loose and spill primers everywhere. Another con is the small collet does not want to seem to mount on the underside of the frame. I did not force it. I just got a small lanyard and looped it thru the small collet and around the frame when that collet is not in use. I did not have the negative experience (yet?) as some others have had with a bent pin or difficulty getting the right tightness on the collet. My experience was almost perfect. I de-primed some 30-06 brass today for starters, and then I de-primed some .380 brass. I ended up using the same collet (medium size) for both round sizes--it just worked out that way. I am glad this item is on Amazon Prime now. I bought mine back in January and had to pay more for it and shipping not from Amazon Prime. The price on here now is very reasonable compared to what I had paid, something like $10 less, if I remember correctly. Overall, a brilliant concept for a hand-held multiple caliber de-primer with a few quirks. Definitely buy yourself one for $38 if you reload any brass size from a .20+ caliber pistol all the way up to a 30-06 (biggest I've got).

Works great!
LOVE this thing. There is an art to using it, but once dialed in it is awesome for "zoned out decapping while watching TV"! It decaps 9mm, .38/.357 and .40/10mm with ease. I used it on crappy, muddy range brass and after a good wash, I started decapping. The "little plastic finger" collet adapter, of the appropriate size (there are 3, sm, med. , and lg.) is inserted and away you go. You will be tempted to run the collet tighter than it needs to be, leave a HAIR of slop to put the casing in it AND roll it around to be sure the decapping pin is IN the flash hole and squeeze. Going through a 1000 rounds of grungy brass was quite a workout, so don't overdo it! LoL NOTE: These little plastic collet fingers are what makes it work, BUT they are "little PLASTIC collet finger thingies" and they will wear out eventually. I have done 3000 rds but the cleaner the range brass is, the longer they should last. I haven't worn mine out yet, but I have ordered two more sets.... cuz Murphy!!! The only bad thing is that the medium collet will be the one MOST people will use (and wear out), and they only come from the manufacturer in sets of .... sm., med., and lg,!!! Soooo you will have a lot of smalls and larges laying around. That said, the thing is awesome. Is it as fast as sitting in your garage, shop, man cave at a press running the cases through a decapping station... NO, but you are on autopilot watching TV while you do it. Like watching TV and shelling peas or folding laundry... whatever. Take your time, set it up and get a "process" going, and decap brass. I decap my brass so I can wet tumble it with cleaner and stainless steel pins. If you don't remove the spent primers you will "tumble weld" (with the steel pins) the primers in the cases and ruin them!!! I just finished another 1000 this afternoon.... wonderful item, well made... does the job! Does a great job!!!

I received my Frankford Arsenal Platinum Series Precision Scale ,earlier than expected. Set up and calibrated it right away and began loading hand gun rounds. I checked for accuracy of the Frankfort Arsenal scale against my Dillon balance beam scale with perfect results. After reading in another review about the scale creeping when weight was left for a while, I left 4.2gr of powder in the pan on the scale over night with no change in the numbers. I've been reloading for a few years and wanted a good quality digital scale ,so after much research I settled on this one with no regrets. I would recommend this for any one who is looking for a really accurate digital scale.
