An Important Read for Any American
An engaging and informative and somehow thrilling read. Its description on “how fascism works” in its development and effects are enough to make one want to fight for democracy and free expression. A very relevant read given our current administration.

a must read for 2025 and beyond
This book lays out the elements and foundations of fascism with historical examples. It points to ways that it may be creeping into our American political landscape.

Decent read but maybe not the best on topic
It’s a short read at only 218 pages but the author uses those pages to give the reader a decent grasp of how to recognize fascism in most forms. The book does a good job highlighting statements by Fascist gurus like Hitler and Mussolini and showing similarity with right-wing political leaders throughout the world today.Another thing I like about the book was how it dedicated enough space to identifying how fascism renders racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, and ableism acceptable. My main disappointment with the book is one I have with a lot of books on this and related topics as an atheist leftist, namely the fact that the author did a great job at pointing out instances of Judeo-Christian but only provided one tentative example of Islamic fascism but never labeled it “Islamic fascism”.This is a serious problem within the liberal and leftist mainstream despite the fact that there are dozens of nations living under fascist Sharia Law.With that caveat in mind, the book is still worth reading as an introductory level analysis of the definition of fascism. There’s plenty of food for thought in here.

Excellent reading
It is very well written, with clear arguments and plenty of examples from both the present day and the last two hundred years approximately. Its main topic is of utmost importance in today's political climate.

Great
Great book. I've recommended to many people. Its very much a play book of what is happening now. Very easy to read. Ive purchased his other book, erasing history, as well.

A Dose of Reality
This is a short, compelling argument that we are in the process of a movement to an authoritarian, fascistic nature. The Us versus Them argument explains why immigrants are replete with rapists and criminals.

Eye Opening
This is an informative account of how fascism warps the hearts and minds of those who champion hierarchy in the form of superiority. I appreciated the connection to not just its impact locally but globally in history. While I am concerned at what its impact is revealing I am challenged to speak against its practices.
