Plain Slicing The half log, of flitch, is mounted with the heart side flat against the guide plate of the slicer and the slicing is done parallel to a line through the center of the log. This produces a figure to that of plain sawn lumber. Review: What I needed - Is great piece Review: I'M guessing they have a problem with cutting machine? - This is the SECOND roll I've bought in last few week's, first one had oil stain on it, had to toss approx 3'. Thought it might have happened here?? Second roll inspected right out of box, same oil stain only worse!!!!! (Raw, wet oil) This just keeps getting worse!!! You can see the crack in wood, and some sort of machine mark going straight across. This whole piece is USELESS to me!!!!!

Easy to use without special tooling
Works great but would be easier to use if just a tad wider. When applying to the side of a 24" cabinet you must be very careful to align the veneer. The adhesion is so good you don't get but one try.

Good Product Quality
Good product. Easy to work with. Recommend very sharp-edged blade to do trimming across grain to obtain best finished result. Stains well.

not a high quality product
I wanted a peel and stick, the reviews and price were good. I bought 6 sheets total. There are lots of issues. The worst by far is the shrinking and splitting along the grain. I'm in MA and humidity gets to low 20s in winter. They were fine in the fall but now look awful up close. You can see from my pictures how much they shrunk where I joined them - they were butted tight when applied, that's a 1" putty knife. You can also see the rough surface from splitting along grain. Other issues : 1) they are not square, the sheet gets narrower and is less than 24" on the narrow end; 2) there are some kinks in the PSA, making it impossible to flatten out totally. Maybe half of sheets have this 3) some of them are made up from very narrow veneer strips - sometimes you can see the grain pattern twice , sometimes 6-8 times on a 24" wide piece. Having the same pattern repeat that often on a 24" piece looks cheap.

Veneer install
I was very happy with the way my project turned out. The veneer was thick enough to work with without tearing but thick enough to be flexible. I started with a piece of cardboard to use as a template then perfected my template with a second piece of cardboard. When I was happy with what I had I traced it out and cut the veneer with a scissor. The glue placed on the veneer by the company was plenty strong enough to hold it down. be advised it cannot be pulled up once it is down so initial placement is imperative. A light staining afterwards provided a nice finished look. Not being a carpenter my Cuts were not perfect.I was able to cover the imperfections up with a cheap plastic molding from home Depot.

Great quality
Great product. It was my first time using it for my DIY project and I enjoyed the process. It sticks easily and has good adhesion. I used wood stain to give it a color at the end. Love it!

Great veneer! Bad adhesive
Veneer was thicker than expected! However, the sticky back left much to be desired. I ended up using contact cement. The veneer was nice and clear. Overall I was happy and will probably purchase again
