Great knife. You get what you pay for with this one. Retains edge for long time. Easy to sharpen. Use only waterstone for best results. My buddy has the same knife and he used an oil stone and gave his steel a nice shine. Excuse my sarcasm. Anyway, if you have the money to spend, I would spend it on this one.

I didn't purchase this knife from Amazon, I got it directly from Korin for $50 cheaper during a sale but MAN I am in love with this baby, I haven't sharpened it in a month! I'm a sushi chef and I would have to sharpen my white steel yanagi twice a week but with this baby I just have to hone it and it's ready to slice! The only downside is after working for a month and constantly wiping the blade, the logo paint is starting to come off... it's not a big deal and I knew it would happen even before I bought it, why they didn't laser etch the logo who knows.. other than that... wow this is a beautiful piece.. highly recommended for the money.. you get what you pay for
