Quiksilver Men's Men's The Tier Lifeguard Beachh Straw Hat Sun Hat

This arrived today and I have to say it's an absolutely excellent hat, and even better made than I expected. Furthermore, unlike so many so-called 'straw' hats advertised for sale on Amazon, this one actually IS made of natural straw, not some plastic that looks like straw. It is so lightweight that I initially thought Amazon had sent me an empty box, till I opened it. There is an internal hat band that will prevent the straw scraping my husband's forehead, like the hat he's been using. The brim is wide, and will shield his face and neck from the sun, which is its purpose. The adjustable chin strap will keep the hat from blowing off in a breeze. I ordered the S/M size, which is roomy enough for him, without being floppy. (If it was a bit too loose, it would be easy enough to take tucks in the hatband, but I don't think that will be necessary.) Not that it matters, but it smells great too ...like fresh straw should smell. Couldn't be more pleased. This is as advertised, arrived in great condition, and earlier than expected (by about a week.) Totally recommend. The only possible downside is that it's not foldable or packable, so maybe not the best choice for someone who wants to use it for traveling. But that's not an issue for us, as my husband will use it here in the garden.

Hat was completely falling apart when I opened the bag. Really disappointing.

It's good quality and as wide brimmed as suggested. Covers everything. Little galling that the £40 hat has a $20 price tag on it.
