Evaluate your needs vs. single side eyelet mounting.
Seems to be a very good product that has great strength. The side eyelet mounting is limiting and actually requires extra care when placing on flat surface. Heavy gauge thick steel will pull rapidly and could injure fingers if holding eyelet. Noted strength of magnet is directly related to quality and gauge of metal. Unable to rate if item would stand up to weather/fishing recovery use, did not use. Was not a good fit for my needs and I returned item.

Magnet is great, D-ring is questionable
I stuck the magnet to the side of an engine stand in my garage and had a lot of difficulty removing it. Sliding it to the edge was the only way it was going to come off, this magnet is no joke. The D-ring attaching it to the rope is OK but questionable in my opinion, I would recommend replacing it with a better climbers locking D-ring. Something that will take some serious weight. The gloves are inexpensive and not really worth mentioning but then you aren't buying this for the gloves. Overall, for the price it's a good deal and a good magnet.

Great strong magnet addition for magnet fishing heavier items. Will definitely keep

Shipping multiple items in same box.
One of the magnets looked good. The other had some cosmetic issues. Magnet arrived in box with gloves on top of clip. The magnet was on top of the gloves. This caused gloves to stick to magnet. Left latex residue on magnet, plus some rust spots on magnet and gloves. In the other box, the magnet was to the side of the gloves not touching. No sticking of latex to magnet occurred. Just thought you would like to know. Pictures included. Thanks.

Fast delivery
It wasn’t as strong as I had hoped. I have it 4 stars because my expectations high. Perhaps beyond my knowledge of fishing magnets. But it was fun to use with my family!

Make sure everything's screwed
5th throw and the whole magnet went flying off the rope getting lost in the water, definitely make sure everything's in place before u take it to the water
