Best bamboo toothbrush I’ve used

According to the packaging on these Humble Co. Bamboo Toothbrushes there are 3.6 million plastic toothbrushes produced each year and most of those end up in landfill or under the sea....where of course they wreak havoc on nature. Their Bamboo brushes are mostly compostable and the,very informative, packaging is recyclable. That packaging also advises on disposal of the soft Nylon bristles,which they recommend pulling out with a pair of pliers and sticking in with your plastic recyclables .The brushes are ergonomically designed and reassuringly sturdy. The box carries the legend "Proud" and the bristles are multi-coloured reminiscent of various Pride designs. A bit of investigation showed Humble's website telling of their support for LBTQ+ communities in the description of this model brush so why not the usual "Pride" I don't know.The bristles are very soft, a Dentist once told me not to use anything else as even medium bristles can cause inadvertent damage to gums with over-enthusiastic use, and do a great job of cleaning your teeth.As well as support for LBTQ+ communities Humble have a foundation that spreads the message, and plenty of their products for free, of oral and general hygiene in schools across the world so your money is also helping the less fortunate. Their website is well-worth a look to see the great job they do.For your £9.99 you're not only getting 3 very good toothbrushes but also helping improve the lives of poor children.

I use an electric toothbrush normally but always have a manual toothbrush for holidays, nights away from home, even just to have at work to have a post-lunch freshen-up. I was always concerned that manual toothbrushes were so throwaway and plastic, so these bamboo toothbrushes are a real find.The packaging is completely recyclable, which I love, and the bamboo itself is ethically sourced and biodegradable. Unfortunately the bristles are not: they are nylon and, although they are free of BPAs, they will not degrade down in your compost bin, so the manufacturer's assurances that the whole toothbrush can be put into your compost are unfortunately incorrect.Still the brushes are mostly biodegradable and, very importantly, give a really good brush. This set I have have soft bristles, which is ideal for sensitive teeth and gums and I found my teeth feel perfectly clean after use.This particular three-pack of brushes has rainbow-coloured bristles for Pride, they add a fun pop to your bathroom whether it's Pride Month or not! The manufacturer has no affiliations with any particular Pride organisations, as far as I can see, but at least their own Humble Smile Foundation benefits from each purchase, helping children in the developing world keep their mouths clean and healthy.

This toothbrush looks absolutely great, with bamboo handle and rainbow bristles, and it comes in all recyclable packaging.You get three toothbrushes, all the same, in the pack.I am used to firmer bristles and this brush is super soft, so that took a little while to adjust to, but I did adjust and now feel it gives a reasonable clean (although my teeth still don't feel quite as clean as they did with a firmer brush). One big bonus with the softer brush is that you can brush your gums briskly as well and it causes absolutely no damage or pain.I'm still not 100% converted, but would look at buying this brand again in future.

This is a great toothbrush and even better knowing its biodegradableI tried a few which all had plastic packaging, which drove me mad.So when these ones arrived with recyclable boxes, I was over the moon!Bristles is soft and although I usually buy medium this one was fine, all was perfectly adapted even after a few weeks.It looks simple but does the job!
