Bose Quality
Easy Install and setup. Note that the TV remote volume control will only work if you install with USB rather than the included optical cord. Sound with my 5 year old Samsung is good on broadcast TV and much better on Netflix, etc. movies. Sound is great on Bluetooth music stream for a speaker this compact. Bass control is great but treble makes for a bit thin sound on certain listening. High quality as expected from Bose. Wish there was an app associated with the soundbar so I could pair with other Bose speaker I own.

This is a TV speaker NOT a soundbar
For the money this is a nice speaker. It’s NOT a Soundbar , it’s a TV speaker. While it’s not near as nice as my Sonos which was twice the price, and has no app control, it’s works great for my 2nd home. It does have a glitch. If you connect to it via BT to play music , it does not automatically go back to the optical input from TV, I have to unplug it and plug it back in . It does have an HDMI ARC input as well so you can control volume from your TV if it has ARCNice little basic remote as wellWhy did you pick this product vs others?:Price and brand name

excellent value
This excellent sound bar replaces a Samsung I've had for many years. The remote no longer functions. The Bose is easy to set up via optical cable. Sound quality is superior. I do not have the subwoofer which is damned expensive. $499 for the 500 series Bass Module. The base is excellent..too much so at the top of its range. There is more than enough volume and is perfectly clear. This is an excellent choice and I'm very happy with my Bose TV speaker/soundbar.

Good audio quality but lacking key features
This soundbar had very good audio for the price, however I ended up returning for two reasons: it didn't have wired ethernet connectivity, and it didn't have an LCD display so you couldn't tell what was going on (what volume it was set to, etc.).Pros:– Has a dedicated Dialogue Mode for making voices stand out from background noise and music.– Its small footprint fits easily under most TVs without being obtrusive.– Very easy to connect and get running, typically just one cable.– Has a balanced, rich sound for its size, typical of Bose audio.– Convenient for streaming music from your phone.Cons:– While it has a bass boost, it won't deliver room-shaking bass without the optional subwoofer.– Designed for enhanced stereo, not immersive surround sound effects.– Lacks advanced features like Wi-Fi, ethernet, or multiple HDMI inputs found on other soundbars.– No Display - status lights are present, but a full text display would be helpful for modes/volume.Overall it was a decent sound bar, but for the price I ended getting a JBL 300 sound bar because it sounded just as good, and had all the features that I wanted (in particular the ethernet port and the LCD display that the Bose lacked).

Finally, a simple solution to the madhouse of audio alternatives for television
I had a Bose one piece sound system many years ago. Really enjoyed it. It eventually gave up so I started down the dark hole of soundbars. In about 10 years I've had 3 and with each one there was always something that wouldn't sound right, mainly when someone talks and there's music in the background, only the music that's supposed to hang back instead blares like a foghorn and drowns out the dialogue. I have to admit the last one, a Vizio, soundbar only, no subwoofer or surround speakers, did it's best to keep the dialogue to within reach. It's main issue was it wouldn't cooperate with a Vizio TV, wouldn't maintain a setting if you had the ability to pay it. So, I'm back to the simple Bose TV Speaker. Ya got two settings, bass and dialogue. There are others but they don't involve audio. It plugs into my Vizio TV via HDMI eARC (cable not included), but it does come with an optical cable and I plugged it in but isn't required. ARC allows my TV remote and Fire Stick remote to control the soundbar volume which is the only thing you really need to control once you set the soundbar with it's own remote to be controlled by other devices and the sound setting you like (your choice of two or both at the same time, why not go for it). I can hear music, I can hear voices, I can hear them both at the same time and anyone who says you need a small room to use it in is probably wanting more than the bar can deliver regarding audio. It's plenty loud. Where I sit fairly far from the TV and the room is kind of open concept leading to not open concept, like rooms elsewhere. I can hear it through out the house. Good bass too. Okay I said two settings but the bass actually has 3 levels. The longest portion of the entire setup from unpacking to connection and listening was the unpacking. It's packed pretty well. Good things come in small packages they say, this is one of them. I recommend this to anyone who doesn't require sound bouncing from the holes in their shoes and from the coffee mug sitting beside them. It's a great sounding speaker that removes the requirement of having to take a course or two in sound engineering and makes listening to TV simple and comfortable and enjoyable again, you don't have to constantly change the audio settings to work with the video. It just works.
