This 2" high cushion is just enough in height to bring comfort and avoid heavy pressure behind the thighs, which like in my case can later stir up nerve pain in the leg. For a long while, my left leg would hurt so badly behind the thigh, nerve pain then going all the way down to my heel and foot. And nothing made the pain go away, including medication for nerve injuries. Then I noticed how I spend too much time on the throne (so not necessary), and that was causing pressure behind my left leg in particular, causing a lot of leg pain. I thought of how a padded cushion would help, went to Amazon and ordered this yesterday and it came overnight!! As I opened this review, I said that the 2" is sufficient. However, if you are heavier than 150 lbs, you might want the 4" high cushion, as to not flatten it completely. In just a half a day, it has proved to help reduce that nagging pain I had. A very helpful product for sure! Thank you to the company and the seller for making this a great price. From experience, I can say in some medical supply stores it would be twice this price.

This is the absolute worst item. I bought it to raise me up so I could get off the toilet easier. It is supposed to be 4" and I assumed it would be firm to sit on. It was not, it collapsed down almost to the hard toilet seat. It was a waste of money if you are looking to get height added to the toilet when you sit dow N so you can get up easier off it. A total waste of money. And it says I can return it( and (it wasn't used) but it won't let me complete the transaction. Do not buy!

Got this for my aunt. She needed something that added height but wasn’t hard. She said it’s comfortable, but it was still easy to clean. It fit her toilet (an elongated bowl) no problem. The price was great too.

This cushion was interesting. The opening is very small. I am a 5 ft adult and did not feel comfortable on this. Will get dirty with most likely one use. There is Velcro that is used to hold in place. No way to keep those products sanitary. Three stars due to being well made. Just not a good idea for someone who likes to keep a sanitary environment.

I had proximal hamstring repair surgery on 11-10-20. Due to the location of the incision, it is painful to sit on on my left side. My husband bought this toilet seat cushion for me to have ready for my recovery time. Pros: This cushion adds some padded relief to my left side, and when I am sore and shift my weight, my right side has relief from taking the extra pressure. The cushion is easy to install and easy to wipe clean after use. I have been using this since surgery day and it still seems as cushy as when we received it. Though it does compress down, becoming a little firm, this cushion is still better for me than trying to sit on a regular hard seat. I go out of my way to use the one toilet with the cushion. It doesn't make the toilet too tall. Other notes: Make sure to measure your toilet seat before you buy this. I believe this cushion is made for a rounded, not elongated, seat because the cushion narrows the opening of our elongated toilet making it harder to wipe when sitting. You may need to trim or tuck in the velcro straps or they may stick out the side of the seat and poke you. Messes can get between the seat and the cushion, so it should be checked and cleaned often. See pix. If you are looking to add height to your seat, this doesn't add more than an inch. Cons: I have noticed the seams are cracking slightly and are getting a little dirty and hard to clean. Overall, if this wears out, unless I find an actual padded toilet seat in the shape of my toilet, i would buy this again, and I would recommend it to others as a reasonably priced cushion option.

UPDATE 2024 I purchased another 4" toilet cushion last week. This time the cushion has no support at all. It is useless since as soon as I sit on it it deflates completely. I weigh around 105 lbs so it is not a weight issue. I am trying to return this item and it is a major hassle. Normally you go thru amazon and it is fine. This time you need to go thru the company website and you can't even reach them by phone. Only email. I can not use this item. It is sad because the one I purchased a few tears ago was excellent and they have been great. But not this one. I am very disappointed in the cushion. This pillow topper for the elongated toilet has helped me to get rid of my horrible pain in my lower butt, and down my leg to the side of my calf. I could not walk for months. I thought it might be from spending so much time on the toilet seat last year. I had a very bad year of IBS and was on the toilet a lot. That is when the pains came on. I went to Dr's, PT, even got shots. Nothing helped. Finally decided in June to try using this pillow. What could I lose? It is now Sept, and 85% of the butt pain, the leg pain has gone away. I am able to walk and do things I have not done since a year ago. I will say I am getting a new one because I think the foam is getting a bit too soft, and I don't want to take a chance of putting pressure on my sciatic nerve again which might bring back the pain. I weight 104lbs so if someone is heavy, I don't know how long the pillow will last. I have no problem ordering a second or third one if I never get that pain back. Each person will have to make up their own mind. It certainly has helped me.

I placed the cushion on the seat without removing the packaging. I immediately squished it flat: I'm an average-sized woman. My commode seat is too low and stresses my knees. It's not built of sturdy, durable foam. I'm returning it and will keep looking.

I liked being able to sit on my toilet during cold winter days and nights.The seat is different from what is available in Australia where the seat is a complete oval. I tried it with the attached straps and found it hard to position it so as not to dirty it but decided to to use it WITHOUT the straps so as to get a "mess free" operation. The price including postage from the US was about $30 (Aus) than in Australia.
