Nice shop towels
I don't do much in the way of surgery, so I'm not sure that I'm 100% qualified to have an opinion on "surgical huck towels", but I do wash my cars & motorcycles and spill stuff and change oil and fwap my kids when they walk by. So apart from the surgical use, I guess I'm not completely unqualified. This is a good pack of shop towels. These are much better than the shop rags that I buy at auto stores for garage cleanups. My typical shop rags are only good for oil changes: I would never touch something valuable with a shop rag--they're just for cleaning messes. These huck towels are pretty nice though. They're bigger than a shop rag (16" x 25") and the quality is much nicer. Not that I'd want to use them on my body, but they're perfectly suitable for drying our cars & motorcycles. They stay together pretty well and don't generate any lint that I can detect. You get a pack of twelve and the bundle is actually pretty big. They all have nice square corners, unlike my shop rags that were puckered at the corners even when they were brand new. You can also pick from an assortment of colors. I haven't tested these for color-fastness yet, but I'd be nervous about the brighter colors (fuchsia or orange). I've accidentally had one of my red shop rags sneak into a load of laundry with other clothes, and it wasn't pretty. The color is already faded enough on these blue towels that I wouldn't panic if one went through the wash.EDIT (1/3/11): We just returned from a four day camping trip and I forgot to pack enough dish towels. I discovered that these towels work great in the kitchen as dish towels or tea towels. I don't think I'd want to mix their use though: either use them as shop towels or kitchen towels, but not both. The garage grease stains don't come completely out in the wash, so I wouldn't want to use those greasy towels to dry dishes.EDIT II (4/24/12): I just bought another pack of these to use as bar towels at my office parties. We have a lot of social functions at work and nobody seems to have any towels to tidy things up. These are perfect for wiping up all the drippy water that comes off cans and bottles when they come out of the cooler. So what's it been now, almost 18 months since I got the first pack of these? They've held up well and I like them well enough to want more. Two thumbs up.EDIT III (December '12): I bought another pack of these for a Christmas party. I bought them in green this time. The green color is nice, kind of an emerald green. The quality of the towels isn't as good as the first set of blue ones though. These definitely look and feel like shop rags. I tied a few of these to the hot handles of chafing dishes and they were OK. I also used some as bar towels. My wife wouldn't let me use these in the kitchen though; she said they looked too cheap and rough for kitchen towels.

Soft, absorbent, lint free towels
I've been using these towels for years when putting in my contacts, they are very absorbent, soft, very flexible, as fabric aficionados say, great hand, and essentially lint free. I don't think I've ever gotten a bit of lint from one of these towels and my eyes; cat fur on a regular basis, yes, but not lint from the towels. I also have some of the blue ones that I use all the time for cleaning off the inside of our car windshields and for wiping stray drops of water off of my car after a car wash. Great towels. Highly recommended.

We have a large family (10 people) and were using a good $30/month in paper towels
I've bought 3 dozen of these towels and I'm about to buy another dozen. They have eliminated my family's need for paper towels and I cannot praise them enough! I use them for EVERYTHING I'd use a paper towel for...drying dishes, cleaning bathrooms (including mirrors and all other glass), dusting, mopping up messes, etc. We have a large family (10 people) and were using a good $30/month in paper towels, so these are really a money saver for us. One of the things I have done that the label says not to do is I bleach them. I bought all white towels and when I clean (especially bathrooms) I just throw them all into a bin and then into the wash with bleach to get rid of all cooties. I have not noticed any disintegration of the fabric at all...they're nice and thick. Another thing that is so wonderful about them, especially when it comes to cleaning bathrooms, is that they don't hold onto hair. There is nothing worse than finding a "clean" washcloth in the drawer with hairs that have become integrated into the fabric. Yuck! These don't work great for kitchen cleaning where food is involved. They're a little big larger than I'd like and they're a bit difficult to wash food out of, but I may try cutting them in half and using them, but for now I prefer the Scotch microfiber kitchen cloths http://www.amazon.com/3M-90322-Kitchen-Cleaning-Microfiber/dp/B009L7VPDO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1422460440&sr=8-7&keywords=scotch+microfiber+cloths. I've done professional housekeeping for years and now with a big family, I might as well be a professional housekeeper. These are some of the products that keep my home clean and streamlined--as streamlined as a home as full as mine can be!

I use in commercial bakery/kitchen, then turn into cleaning rags.
I have used these exact ones for years and will continue as its the best value, but each batch (I keep around 50 on hand and buy a new set and every few months or when I have a dozen or more stained or torn as I go through at least 20 a week, someone's more in a single cake) - with each order the wuakity stays about the same, but they get less and less uniformly sized. I'm a bit of a organized freak so it's hard to fit them properly at times. Otherwise, they're awesome kitchen towels. I bake fairly elaborate cakes and pastries and keep a stack by me. Finish up, throw in laundry with bleach. Hour later - fresh white towels. You can (and shouod before first use) wash on longest cycle on hot and never use fabric softener. Bleach is fine. Dry as hot as you like. They hold up great.Mind you - spray treat with stain remover if you wipe coffee or wine or anything that stains asap. These bleach well but do stain so don't rely on bleach to turn back white if you don't rinse or soap it quickly. I keep a bucket of oxy clean or bleach water and throw in if I wipe a stain. They last for a long time - most get ruined as my husbands grabs them for stains instead of the bag I keep of old ones. The only complaint is really they get so inconsistent in size and every order now will have one or two so off that I wonder if I threw an old one in the wash with the new ones.I have used the blue ones but I find white are just easier for keeping nice, clients come in the kitchen and I don't know if they think surgical towels are abnormal for bakers but they also just are easiest to deal with cleaning.Star removed for inconsistent and getting worse size and not quality. The price is creeping up and I'm starting to look for other sources (hint...)

Great Cleaning Cloths
I bought them to use for washing windows, mopping floors, and general cleaning. I'm very happy with the quality and the fact that they are lint free, so cleaning windows are a breeze.

Great quality and price
Got these because of the 4 Hour Chef, and they're exactly what you're looking for. They don't hold particles like other tea towels; a quick wash, rinse and hang on your oven door overnight and they're ready for the day. I was rationing that I would wear through 1 per month, however after 3 months I'm still on my first one and it's still going strong! The pack should last you a few years of everyday use. Don't forget to give them an occasional disinfecting!

Quality Issue.
I had ordered these rags years ago and loved them. I therefore reordered the same rags recently, and they are NOT the same quality at all.The weave looks different and they are thinner. After just 1 wash, they all came out crinkled and are very difficult to use.Others reviews about this issue have already provided pictures of the rags in this state, and mine look the same.No I am afraid to order surgical "Huck" towels from anywhere else as most seem to have the same problem?
