Q: Do they enclose the ears or press against them? I can't tell how big they are.

With a center hole inside the padding of only about 1 & 3/4's inches around, these do not come close to enclosing my ears.

Q: Will this headphone jack fit through the headphone jack on my iphone 5s life proof case?

Fits fine through my Otterbox Defender (iphne 5S)

Q: Down the road, will 2-inch-diameter replacement foam earpads fit these Panasonic headphones?

I just measured them & they're actually oval, not circular. Approx dimensions are 2.25 x 1.75, so they're more than 2" at the longest dimension. You could try them, but more than likely, won't fit. Perhaps Panasonic sells some?

Q: Will these work well outside brisk walk or running with an iPod?

We only use these on a computer, so I'm not sure how they'll function with movement. I can see them maybe working on a brisk walk, but they might be shaky for a run.
