I purchased this item in December, and it arrived 2 days before Christmas (right on schedule). I purchased it for my Galaxy S4 (i-337 - AT&T version). Unfortunately, in the couple of days between purchasing and receiving the cord, I dropped the phone and shattered the digitizer. I've already replaced it once, so this was a good opportunity to upgrade. I chose a Note 4 (N910T - T-Mobile version). I was thrilled to find it worked with the Note, and did so very well. The image is smooth, and the colors display perfectly on a 60" HD Vizio tv.There are a few things I think are important to know for this item:- this is a cable. No more, no less.- the cable is shaped like a "Y", with a micro-USB to the phone, HDMI to the TV, and standard USB to plug into a power source. It will not work on ANY device if it's not plugged into a power source. NO POWER SOURCE IS INCLUDED. (Isn't supposed to be, but I know someone will decide that's a flaw, but it isn't.) The HDMI-in on your TV is a one-way current. It does not feed power down to the device.- your TV will mirror EXACTLY what shows on the screen. You cannot stream to the TV while surfing the web. AGAIN, not a flaw, just a fact.- the mirroring will begin immediately. If there is something you don't want someone else to see, don't access it if the TV is on and on the proper input channel. Unplug the cord, change the input, or whatever. Don't blame the cable when you pull up your text messages while mirroring, and girlfriend #1 sees your active conversation with girlfriend #2.- the cord isn't super long. The phone/device will need to chill pretty close to the tv. Still, it is long enough to reach a pretty close outlet. Because of my TV setup, I have to have my power adapter in a power bar directly under the TV for the cord to reach it. Again, NOT A FLAW, just a fact.I don't use it a lot, now, but it is especially useful if you have a TV, but no cable or WiFi. I have used it to watch things that I couldn't get via antenna, but could stream through an app.I'd buy this thing again in a heartbeat! Mine did come directly from EpicDealz, not a third party.

This works fine with my Samsung Note 2, but it doesn't work with my asus tablet or irulu tablet or vido tablet. It also does not work with my Nexus 7 tablet. It is OK, but if you think it will work with most Android devices, I really don't think it will. It does say specifically that it would work with my phone and it does. Price was very good, so I am not worried. I keep it plugged into HDMI 4 on my TV and the USB plugged into one of the USB spots and I can watch a movie no problem.

The cable works great on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4. I plugged the HDMI in to an empty HDMI port on my TV, connected the USB power to the USB service port on my TV, then connected it to my phone and the picture appeared (make sure your TV is set to the correct input). Played some videos and the picture and sound seemed good.Not much to complain about. It just works, and it's a fraction of the cost of the official Samsung adapter.

Don't bother buying it. It does not work!! I tried to plug it to my phone which according to the description it was compatible but doesn't even fit. The plug is too big for the phones.

I used it with my Galaxy to smarten up an older TV with an HDMI port. Pushing the video does use up the battery on the phone even with the phone charging but it does work. I simply start out with a fully charged phone and it worked for hours.

I purchased this after subscribing to Netflix. LoL I thought I could use this to watch from my phone (ZTE ZMax) to tv. Boy, was I wrong! This item does not work with all android phones, as per the description and comments. Very disappointing!!! It did, however, work with my sister's Galaxy S3 and my daughter's Galaxy S7. Hence, the 3 star rating. So, if you have a Samsung device, I say, " Go for it!" If not, buy with caution. (Hit helpful, if it applies!)

Works great. Quality is not stellar, but you get what you pay for. I used it to recover data from my Galaxy S5 that had a broken LCD panel.

It works ..... but doesn't charge my phone at d same time....and does not work on s5 as advertised. ...but it works on s4 and s3.
