5 star review
Mask is better than expected. Was hesitant at first because of the comments I read but if fits really well and comfortable. The filter is softer / more flexible and bigger on the nose bridge compared to the other Amazon sport mask filters that are cheaper priced and smaller. It doesn't pull on my nose when looking up compared to the Velcro strap behind the neck versions. The bands allow movement of the head when working out or working in general. I had to adjust the bands alllll the way out for my size 8 XXl head but it fits juuuuust oh so right for me. And honestly the clips aren't all the hard to undo. Mask still gets hot but not as easily but all masks get hot so can't complain too much. Tag is big but whatevs. Anyways I work a blue collar job and these are by far my fav GOOD filtered mask I have. Good job!

Will be a life long purchaser of this product.
I’d like to start by saying I wear these masks daily for multiple hours at a time. I have been buying BaseCamp masks since the beginning of this year 2025. The fires that have crossed much of the Los Angeles area have led me to become hypersensitive to pollen and makes it difficult to breathe with the common N95 masks. These mask in every model so far (I have the N model, and all 3 M models so far) have allowed me to be outside in comfort and they all work so well at filtering pollen. I look forward to purchasing future models as I undergo immunotherapy and be able to go on long walks with my dog thanks to BaseCamp. Great price, amazing durability, easy to clean, replacing filters has gotten smoother with each design and speed of delivery is amazing.

Mask too small and terrible buckle design
I was excited to try these masks bc i wanted something to have the loops off of my ears. They’re kind of expensive at $11.50/mask as you receive 2, but i figured it’s $6 more than most other masks without the vents so what the heck. Also they are N99 masks which rates higher than the standard N95.When i received the mask it looked to be of high quality. However the first thing i noticed was the clasps. It took a minute to figure out how to open them. You have to pull extremely hard.... and i mean HARD to get them loose at first! They do loosen a bit after some use. Honestly the buckles are an extremely poor design. They will eventually wear the little nub off and fail. The elderly with poor hand strength are going to find these buckles hard to use. A standard quick release side buckle like everyone is used to would have been better. The exterior tags are an annoyance but they have the instructions for the valves and filter changes on them. You can cut them off of course.Again other than the buckles, the quality of everything else seems extremely high grade. However, these appear to have been designed with an absurdly small head. These are very small and i have a very small head and neck to begin with. My baseball hat size is only 6-3/8” for reference. I extended the strap lengths as far as they would go, and that still left the mask too tight. The straps should have 1” added and they would be plenty to accommodate even those with large heads and necks. If you’re a body builder with a thick neck.... don’t even think about these. The valves are located right next to your mouth and do a great job of exhausting hot air as you breath. Be warned.... many airlines and stores are now banning the use of masks with valves.

the exhalation valve on BASE CAMP dust face mask works better than the one on my $165 respirator
I have become very sensitive to sawdust and pollen. It affects my throat. So I've been trying various masks and respirators. If your concern is fine particles, this BASE CAMP mask is well worth a try. It fit my face fine and is better at blocking dust than my $165 respirator. The exhalation valve on my well-known name-brand $165 respirator is a thick rubber flap which makes a less than perfect seal so that dust and pollen get into your airway when you breathe in. I had to attach a piece of N95 mask over the exhalation valve to fix that problem on my expensive respirator, but then it steams up fairly quickly. By contrast, the exhalation valve on this BASE CAMP dust mask is a thin and very supple disc about 5/8 inch in diameter, and it forms a perfect seal. You can make sure the valve is seated properly by placing your lips tightly against the seal housing on the inside of the mask and then trying to suck air in. You should get no air whatsoever if your lips are tight against the plastic housing and the seal is properly seated inside. If it isn't properly seated, the housing can be opened by holding the exterior valve housing with one hand while turning the interior housing CCW until it comes apart.Of course, the respirator with full polycarbonate lens offers eye protection too, and filters are available for blocking vapors as well as particles. But if your concern is breathing in fine particles, this BASE CAMP mask in my experience is superior to the expensive respirator because of the latter's "Achilles heel", its exhalation valve. I made sure there was no foreign matter keeping the respirator's valve from closing properly. The valve's imperfect seal was also a cause for concern among the medical profession, according to articles on NIH.govThe bridge of the BASE CAMP dust mask has a clip inside it which you can pinch to help form a good seal against your nose and face. When wearing the BASE CAMP mask, I had no problem with my $12 Pyramex safety glasses (which fit over prescription glasses) steaming up.
