Color By Number for Kids: Color By Number 1st Grade

Can't say enough good thinks about this coloring book! I bought it for my 5 year old who loves to color and color by number. The hard pictures are color by number but the easy ones are actually math problems, both addition and subtraction(nothing over about 20). Then the answer becomes the color by number. This was a great opportunity to teach him early math skills and be loved the challenge. If a child isn't ready you can always write in the answers for them to match with the colors. Wish this brand had more option since we have finished this book and can't find anything similar.

As some of the other users stated, some of the pictures are really small. The pictures also call for various color shades that we don't always have handy- think 3 different shades of tan. You'll need the big box of crayons for this book! The larger pictures feature addition and subtraction problems, which may be challenging for 6 or 7 year-olds. Bottom line, my son likes it, but I had expected better quality. It kind of looks like a bunch of worksheets that someone printed online and put into book form.

This color by number book kept my 5 year old daughter busy for hours and hours!! The book was a bit challenging for her since it was not just straight color by numbers. She had to add and subtract, but this was a great product for her and I do to do together while I did some adult coloring of my own :). Very much recomend this book for children, just dont drop it in the sink, as we did, because it will get wet...is not water proof

Overall I think this is a great coloring activity for my kindergartener. I would agree though that some of the pictures are rather small. If your child is not very dexterous, I probably wouldn't buy.

Purchased this for my 6 year old daughter. Some of the first few pages were pretty basic, but as you get further along in the book the pictures get more complicated and intricate. It is strange how the more complicated pictures get really small and only take up around half of the page, but it never seemed to bother her. She absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. Would definitely purchase again.

The students in my class enjoy coloring by numbers. It's a fun way to let me assess various skills for my Life Skills students. As a note, I enjoy coloring by numbers also.

Our 5 yr old twins love this book! I should have bought 2. The color names are in words to help them learn how to read. The coloring spaces are big enough to see but not too small that they scribble over the lines. Works better with colored pencils than crayons.

I bought this book for my 5 year old Kindergardener and he loves it. The first few pages pleasantly surprised me as they offer math problems to determine the color. It's great practice for his math skills and he sees the beautiful result in his efforts!
