Updated carburator, great value, but no instructions on adjusting
Worked great on my Stihl 400. It is a newer version that has three adjust screws- high, low and idle speed. The older TS400 only has two screws (high speed and idle, I think), but a drill hole is marked that you must drill out after removing (and replacing) the rubber insert. That allows you access to adjust all three. Be sure to note the articulation of the choke and throttle when you disassemble the unit.Since there are no instructions or hints included, I used "guaranteed" starting adjustments found on the internet (open each screw one turn). That did no work so I took it to a Stihl repairman at Rural King store. He charged $20.00 to adjust it and the saw now starts and runs fine. This is an excellent after market part.

Used this carb for a saw that has been sitting outside for over a year, started up on the second pull and was easy to adjust the settings, i also bought the filter and spark plug kit, great product!

It does fit and look like original, but I had two of these carbs on two different saws, terrible product.
Terrible, tried to adjust mixture screws to make motor run right, low speed still ran rich with the screw all the way in. I have been a mechanic for over 28 years
