I love this playmat for my kid and enjoy giving this gift to other newborn kiddos. The mat is soft and the building of the top part is pretty easy. The playmat is made out of clean materials and is super safe for newborns to use. It’s big enough for a baby to do their tummy time, roll around on and practice their sitting and standing. My kid was able to use the wooden frame on top to help teach them to stand. It was sturdy and supported their weight. I also love that now that he’s a toddler, he’s enjoying the tent version of this playmat. He still finds joy in all of the sensory add ons. This item may seem pricey but it’s easy to clean and was worth every penny!

This is unfortunately worth every penny lol I opted for a much cheaper one at first, but it broke after not even 4 months of light use. The quality of this play gym is unmatched and my son was instantly enthralled by all the toys. It’s super cute, colorful, and engaging.

I am a mother of 3, and I wish I’d had this mat from the beginning. I was skeptical that a baby play gym could really be worth $140, especially because I thought pretty much all other play gyms are completely overpriced for what you get, and not to mention, they are just plain ugly. My idea of what a play gym was, was based solely on the products currently on the market which were all basically just the same thing. I am SO happy to see ay that the Play Gym by Lovevery is nothing like the others, in all the best ways. The first obvious difference is that the frame for this is made from solid wood, which makes this Play Gym much stronger than anything else on the market. It’s soft and smooth, no chance of splinters and no sharp edges, every detail in this product has been carefully thought through, and it shows! It can hold up heavier toys, which your average mat will not. When I had my second son, my oldest would accidentally collapse the arms on our old mat by leaning against it or stepping on it and my baby got bashed in the face by a heavier hanging toy. Not an issue with this one, and I LOVE IT! Some reviewers have complained that the wooden frame is a downside because it doesn’t collapse easily, honestly I think that’s a plus for the reason above. No risk of it collapsing on my baby! The only thing slightly negative I have to say about the frame is that I wish the holes for hanging the toys were higher up the arms so they hung over the middle of the mat rather than on the sides. Still though, I don’t mind where they are. Now on to the mat itself. The texture is soft, but not slick like less expensive mats. My baby can actually get some traction to push herself up and isn’t just slipping all over it and getting frustrated. This mat also has some decent padding on it! We have wood floors so I’m not worried that she will smack her face on the floor when she is still learning to hold her head up and hurt herself. This would’ve definitely been an issue with our old one. I love the neutral tones of the mat, and the way that different areas of the mat can be opened and closed to prevent over stimulation and promote focus. The whole thing is so beautiful, it’s something that I can leave out and it doesn’t look like Toys-R-Us threw up in my living room, it actually adds to the decor/furniture in my opinion. The little booklet with all the Play ideas is probably my favorite part of the whole thing. It really takes the guesswork and research and puts it into an easy to understand format. You have the baby, you h e the tools, but how do you help your baby get the most out of play time? This book makes it SO easy! You don’t have to search through mountains of parenting books and blogs it’s all condensed Into a few short blurbs. I really can’t say enough good things about this. My daughter (9 weeks) absolutely loves the high contrast cards and the Montessori ball. My 5 and 3 year old boys ask me daily to turn it into a tent for them. It’s really a fantastic toy that grows with your child. I can’t wait to see all the new things we can/will do with this! TLDR: it’s the best. All 3 of my kids love it. It’s definitely a must have piece of baby gear!

My baby absolutely loves this! We started using them at around 3 months, and now she is 9 months old and still grabs them to make sounds and play. Every strand is different in colour, sound it makes, and texture - a wonderful way fr a little one to learn! Very well made, so constant grabbing and pulling leaves no mark on them.

My baby absolutely loves this- really worth the money we paid. When he starts to get fussy I would just put this on for him and he plays with it for ages and giggles. I love that it has different textures and the sound is so soft which is a bonus for us parents! I do think the attachment part is a bit small for general playmat arches so just be aware of that - I’ve tried it on two different brands and they don’t fit either of them.

Bought these as a Xmas present when son was 3 months old. Even when we handed him the present he could hear the jingles and he got excited. Absolutely obsessed with them and still plays with them now at 7 months old. They’re simple but easy and impactful enough to function for the baby to learn skills from. Detachable too which makes it versatile and transportable (stroller, cot etc). It’s easy to set up and is colourful but muted enough to catch the baby’s eyes without looking like an ugly toy. Also quality is good that you can forget trying to diy to replicate cause these strands will last a long time. Plus getting materials to do it yourself will probably cost you £30 or more anyway. Not to mention the time it takes. Also how do you know if the design you’re choosing is appropriate for your baby’s brain development? At least these sensory strands have experts design it, which takes that stress out of it for you to figure out if your botched DIY job is doing anything useful. It’s just one less thing to worry about as a parent. Cost per use now feels low because of how much he plays with them. Also they have the right amount of different sensory exploration and sound without it being an irritating kids toy. Go on buy the strands, you know you want to!
