Great little buy
I was gifted an amazing backyard hammock from a friend but didnt have a stand. So I bought a stand on amazon, and it turns out the hammock was for looks only. You would immediately sink to the ground. Im only 150 lbs. Even my 7 year old would graze the grass. I had been wanting a hammock for years, so I was extremely disappointed.Well other backyard hammocks were expensive, and I couldnt see myself spending $70 for something that might not work again. I saw this one and hoped beyond hope it would be ok to use for a stand. It can.I LOVE this thing. At first I was afraid it was too small for the hammock, but with a little stretch it fit. As you can see my dog and I are both fans. We also saved the tree straps for a possible trip later. Worth every penny. Also, I dont sink to the ground at all.

Sturdy, survivable in weather!
i weight more than 300 lbs and I feel perfectly safe in this hammock. Hung this between 2 trees in my yard and it is beautiful and sturdy! I've had it out continually (even through a hurricane and other storms in Florida heat and humidity) and it has held up fine and kept its color. I wanted it more for aesthetic reasons than longevity, so if you want it to last longer probably don't leave it out when not in use; it's made out of cotton so while it's held up fine in the month or 2 I've had it I imagine it will start aging quicker from rain etc. It took a little effort to get the metal clips around the loops which could be frustrating if you are frequently taking it down and putting it back up; the clips are strong but the clasp part seemed a little loose, like it would easily slide out of alignment with frequent use. The straps feel like car safety belt material. i wasn't sure how the friction would hold; fortunately my trees have thick knots at good heights so I looped it around the tree above the knot to keep everything in place. So far they have been very stable.the last bit of advice; the fabric is quite stretchy! I recommend hanging higher than you thought originally, as high as you can while still being able to get in the hammock! And unlike ENO or other camping hammocks, the instructions recommend putting less tension on the straps, so hang the straps high and with enough give for the whole system to sag down a bit.

Didn't stand up to kids abuse
Super colorful hammock and fit nicely between our 2 trees - very easy to strap around the trees and hang. Kids ganged up on it and managed to snap some strings, from there it was a cascading effect. The hammock is rated for 450lbs. We've had 4 kids on it at one time but over time from swinging (aggressive at times) and prolonged sitting, one by one, the strings started to snap. After that, the structural integrity of the rope ties was never the same. I tried using some 550 cord to reinforce/replace broken strands but then the fabric ripped. If you use this hammock as intended, to just chill out in and relax, I'm sure it would be fine. Just know like any outdoor item (i..e tree swings etc.), they will get considerable abuse from the wild ones and this hammock was not be able to sustain it for very long. I still recommend this hammock for ease of setup, colors, portability and comfort - just don't diverge from the intended use.

Nice hammock
It is a comfortable hammock, the grand kids love it, and overall it's great to use. However, two things ... it comes with carabiner hooks, which are harder to remove them from when not in use; it's kind of tight and everytime you do it scrapes on the fabric on the loop and will wear it down eventually. Either use bigger carabiners or, I use heavy-duty S-hooks instead, so much easier and just as safe to use.The other thing .... a metal reinforcement in the loop (where the hook goes) would help a lot to not wear on the fabric. Some of my other hammocks have these and I bet they will outlast this one.

Rope eyelets too small
Many reviews complained that when they use the provided carabiners through the eyelet in the Hammock that it caused the eyelet to fail. I thought to myself, “well I will just use a rope instead“. The problem is that a rope won’t fit because the eyelet is tiny and you almost have to use the carabiner. When I bought a Hammock in Puerto Ayacucho in Venezuela to use in the jungle, the eyelet was about 6 inches long and worked perfectly. This one is a joke, you get what you pay for.

Solid package for the price
I have been happily enjoying this every day since I got it! It's comfy, sturdy and just what I what looking for at a good price. I am very pleased with this purchase.Thoughts:-One thing I found a little odd was that both ends of the hammock that are sewn are sewn with a vibrant red thread which looks a little odd considering I ordered the green/blue option.-I was a little worried it was going to stretch out a lot but it hasn't seemed to at all so far and the fabric is definitely comfortable.-I haven't found a use for the included carabiners yet since it says not to connect a metal end with the metal that is in the hammock loops to prevent from bending those, so I just took them off and used a modified half hitch knot with the included straps and it holds perfectly without causing damage to the metal inside the hammock loops.

Sturdy, colourful garden addition.
Fabulous hammock, sturdy enough to take 3!!We strung it between 2 trees. Easy to assemble and hang in line with how low or high it needs to be. A very colourful and necessary garden accessory, we love it. We don’t keep it out all weather as it’s easy to leave the fixings on the tree and take it down when the weather is bad. Great value.

It's OK but the quality is a bit disappointing
After all the positive reviews I was expecting to be really pleased with this item - and it is OK. However:1. I paid the extra for this hammock because it included straps and caribiners. In fact this was a waste of money because I don't find the strap design very useful at all - the metal ring is too big to pull through the end loop, so it would have to be used with the loop pulled through the ring. The strap is very badly sewn with raw ends likely to fray and loose stitching. Personally I wouldn't rely on them to hold any weight. The caribiners aren't quite big enough for this hammock's loops - to get the loop into the caribiner you have to really squeeze it past the little post, and that is sharp and will damage the loop in time. The caribiners work fine with another hammock I have, which doesn't have such a thick loop at the end, but they aren't good quality.2. The hammock quality and finish isn't that good at all - it is what you might call rustic. The blue and green hammock is sewn with red thread, and in places the stitching hasn't connected through the layers and is loose. I will be resewing it on a rainy day!3. The strings at the ends don't fill me with confidence in terms of quality or the way they are sewn into the end of the hammock, given that they are taking all the weight and strain. I will be re-sewing the ends.3. For information, not criticism of the product: the hammock fitted in the carry bag with the straps inside when it was delivered, but that is the last time it will fit in there - it is quite a small bag (very roughly sewn) and needs neater tighter folding than I will ever bother with. I will probably sew the bag onto the side of the hammock as a storage pocket instead.4. Again, not a criticism of the product, just for information. I bought it to use with an Ikea hammock stand, because Ikea only sell nylon hammocks and I wanted cotton. The stand looks vast, but it turns out that the hammock is too long for the stand. It is quite stretchy and trails on the floor when I get in. The strings at the ends (which are woven into the loop) aren't long enough to tie a knot so the only way to shorten it will be to sew a pleat (or 2) in the hammock.I ought to send it back really given I need new caribiners, different straps and have to do some re-sewing. I can't compare it with cheaper smaller hammocks though, so will just make the changes.

Fabulous! Can't recommend enough
We have a roof space that we had never used because we can't put furniture on it - basically it's covered it meltable asphalt and we don't know how big a load it will take structurally without getting in an engineer. But then one of my sons suggested getting a hammock to string across the space from the railings. We bought one of these, put them up in about five minutes (without need of instructions) and loved one so much we had to get another. They are super comfortable, easy to clip and unclip if you need to take them down quickly in a rain storm (although they'd dry out quickly is my guess) look really cool and have turned our once abandoned roof terrace into an oasis! And the price is ridiculously reasonable. Highly recommended.

Very Easy and Quite Comfy
I've managed to sling this between two trees in the garden. When in use it's comfy (as comfy as hammocks really get), although as other note, there are no "spreader bars". In a way, that's an advantage for us, because being under trees, birds do their business, but so far haven't managed to hit the hammock because when unused it sort of bundles up and is more like a fat rope than a wide seat. Likewise it's not getting filled up with leaves and twigs either. Being super-narrow when unused also means that when it rains it doesn't necessarily get very wet. If it does get a soaking, then of course being bundled up means it takes a while to dry, but so far that hasn't really been a problem. The straps are like car seatbelts, and pretty easy to wrap around a tree trunk a couple of times. The problem with them is you set them up as you think everything should be, but sitting on the hammock pulls the straps tighter than you could otherwise get them, so the hammock sinks downwards a bit. To hitch it up a bit higher you have to undo all that tightening and put the hammock higher than you want, knowing it'll tighten downwards by some random amount later. Also, when wrapping around something, you'll find that it either wraps around twice but leaves a long bit, or not quite three times. I'm not exactly sure what design would overcome this (very "first world") problem, but it's annoying! All in all though, it's a decent hammock, looks like it's likely to last reasonably well and seems quite practical in use. It's not like a nice memory foam mattress, but you can get a snooze on it pretty easily.
