WE LOVE OUR FRIDGE! We’ve had the GE Cafe refrigerator for about a year now, and honestly, it’s exceeded our expectations. First off, the matte white finish with bronze handles looks absolutely stunning in our kitchen. It gives off a high-end, custom look without the designer price tag. Plus, it really is fingerprint resistant — I was skeptical at first, but with constantly opening and closing it, it still looks clean all the time. Complete opposite to our last stainless steel fridge. Functionally, it’s just as impressive. The counter-depth design makes our kitchen look custom without the cost of the built in fridge. Not to mention we don’t have fridge sticking way out into the walk way of the kitchen. Storage is surprisingly spacious given the size — the layout inside is super well thought out. I love the full-width drawer in the fridge for cheeses and deli items, and the adjustable shelves come in handy when I need to make room for taller items. The smart features are a nice bonus. We’ve connected it to the SmartHQ app, which lets us control temperature settings and get alerts if the door’s left open along with an annoying sound to alert you the door was left open (which has actually saved us a couple of times). If I had to nitpick, I’d say the interior lighting could be a bit brighter, especially in the bottom drawers, but that’s really minor. Also I should have went with the water dispenser on the exterior. It’s a bit hard to fill a cup in the awkward space on the side of the fridge, but was trying to save couple bucks. Definitely need two hands to fill a cup and isn’t feasible while holding a baby. Overall, it’s a beautiful, well-designed appliance that works great for our family. Would absolutely recommend if you’re looking for something that balances style, tech, and functionality.

This technology in the fridge stopped working properly within one month. After three months, I have made 10 calls, scheduled 6 service appointments (only two did the tech show up), took 6 days out of work, and spent 7.5 hours on the phone to have no/zero solution. I wish I knew that Cafe was actually GE (my bad), I likely would have taken this into account and chose a different brand at this price point. We bought four appliances, more than $9K and the run around from GE is staggering. I have never dealt with customer service as poor as this. In addition, the features of this fridge are not great all the way around (drawers are small, water dispenser is awkward), certainly not worth money, and evidence that the focus was appearance and not quality or function. Please keep your sanity and money and choose a different brand.

Say goodbye to smudge your fingerprints and say hello to this beautiful, matte white refrigerator. It is incredibly well-made, easy to clean and has a ton of storage. I am obsessed with it and we receive compliments every single time someone comes in our kitchen. They have to just touch it!
