Great thermostat
I like the price and the fact it fit my silverado with no problems

Good stat for the price, beats drilling holes in the factory one and regretting it.
This fits my 2009 Pontiac g8 6.0L v8. It made the car run reasonably cooler in traffic and even 25 degrees cooler on longer highway drives. Completed a full drain and fill along with gm coolant and water wetter. Makes for a good summer upgrade. L it has been in the 95-100degrees f here and I need the car to stay cool in the stop and go.

Fits a 2000 Camaro SS with LS-1 V8.
Seems identical to the one that was in there. Opens around 180 F.

New…fail!
Couldn’t figure out why my brand new LS engine was running 200 at idle and 220 at 60 MPH. I thought I either had an airflow issue or a plugged 22-year old radiator. Nope! Took the new stat out in anticipation of buying a new $250 radiator and decided to test it on the stove top in a pot of hot water with an accurate thermometer. This 160 degree stat cracked open at 197, and was about 1/3 totally open at boiling. Mystery solved. Went to a local parts store and asked for a different brand and was offered a Murray……got it home and it has “Motorad” stamped on the side. I guess Motorad makes their own stats and makes them for Murray too. Second one worked, but what a waste of time. Hey Motorad……how about a little quality control? Next time I’ll buy a Stant……which is also probably made by Motorad. BOOOOOO!!!!!!!
