Vet Livestock Pet Veterinary Platform Scale 700 lbs (1)

I havent seen reviews on this scale online anywhere so i guess ill add one so others who were thinking about buying this can read my review. Ummmmmm Worth getting if you are looking for a scale. I got the scale because i couldnt find one that would weigh me because im a pretty big guy. This scale works perfect and at the same time i can weigh my dog before i take him to the vet. The scale is easy to use. I just hooked the scale wire up to the little monitor piece that reads your weight and plugged it in. Hopped on the scale and got my first true official weight and thats something i havent gotten in years because the doctors office didnt have a scale for my size (418 lbs). But now that i can see my weight i have decided to make some life changes and being able to jump on the scale every week for a weigh in, it just motivates me to do more diet and exercise and i love it. The scale comes out of the box already for you to just plug it in and hop on but if you ever had to recalibrate it for any reason there are way too many steps to follow. They are easy steps and directions to do so but it just gets confusing because there are sooooooo many steps to go thru. Other than that the scale works as it says and although i thought 300+ bucks was a lot for a scale, it was definitely worth it to help me get back on track and live a leaner healthier life! 30 days into my changes and im 21 pounds lighter. Im going to continue this life change and my scale is part of that! Good luck and it does do what its supposed to and has a fairly large platform!

We ordered this scale to use in our clinic & it has performed okay so far. It was about 1/3 the price of some of the name brand scales we looked at.However the rubber mat that came with it smells so bad (off-gassing) that we are unable to use it. [receptionists & clients complain of headaches, etc..] We have had the mat sitting outside in the sun for at least a month with not much improvement.The bracket that holds the digital readout is flimsy and doesn't seem to be made for our purposes. We need to mount it at hip height so that it can be read while an owner stands next to the scale with the patient. I had to modify it so that it would point up towards the person vs. straight out to hip level or worse down towards the floor. This is a large scale & I can only imagine that it will be used on the floor in most applications so the readout should be manufactured accordingly.One last complaint is that even though we run the scale while plugged in the display shuts off after a few minutes. It then needs to be turned on & go thru the start-up process all over again each time...this has not been impossible but it is a bit of a hassle having to instruct each client that comes in on how to operate, patiently wait for the scale to come on and then zero before putting their bouncy golden retriever onto it.

I only give it 2 stars because I order this item on March 4th. I ne er got the 1st one from seller. Said it was in the mail it was ne er delivered. So Amazon refunded me for the 1st one. I re purchased same item again. Promised delivery was like 5 days later. Once again it did not arrive on time. It kept getting delayed. It finally showed up yesterday the box was all beat up in bad condition. Thankfully the scale works fine and accurate. Easy to set up. Calibrated it after I put non slip mat on it otherwise it will be off by 3.4 lbs. After calibrated weighed myself and it was accurate. Weighed all of my dogs and it was also accurate from last vet visit for 2 of my dogs. Other than the delivery this is a great buy.

I've had it 2 weeks, I've weighed ewes, I've weighed lambs. The first go round I had taped the rubber mat to the scale. It didn't last through the weighing of all 300. Then I ordered some of the stair tread stick on no skid tapes! Stuck them on, weighed 165 lambs with no problem and then a couple of days later I ran 85 lambs over the scale without weighing all of them but spot weighing a few. The tape stuff held and there was no animal slipping. The stuff is too rough for dogs but for livestock I think it's going to work well.The scale is well made. Surprisingly programmable with many variations which the seller should really describe in the description. There are ways to program it for extremely active animals or for animals that aren't going to move. Really shocked me what all could be done with the limited number of buttons on the unit. After running 85 lambs across the scales (average 70 pounds) the buyer stepped on the scales and was surprised at how accurate it was.You can program for backlight or not, autoshut off or not, many variations. I just need to find a printer to work with it and I will be set.I did remove the handle, not hard to do, since it was easy for sheep to catch their foot in it. For other animals it wouldn't be a problem.Probably use it again in a week and I will add to this review if anything changes.

This was a huge waist of several hundred dollars. The scale was off by 10lbs. I re-calibrated it. It was not consistent in reading the weight. I finally go frustrated and threw this piece of garbage in the garbage. Don't waist your money. Im in the dog training and fitness business. I would not buy this.

Used and well taken care of but load cells went out and have to buy new one

Although it has a large foot print, the low profile design makes it easy it keep out of the way. Digital readout is nice. Very easy setup in minutes.
