Excellent refurbished headphones
AUTHENTICITYI'll just start out with this because I know it's the biggest concern when buying something as expensive as this on Amazon, plus it's refurbished. I was initially concerned after watching a YouTube video comparing fake and authentic Beats where the guy had a rose gold pair that he claimed was fake because the headphone cord that came with it is white while the charger cord is black and his black pair came with both black cords. However, I think this is a purposeful design choice by Beats and don't think it's a reason to worry. The easiest way to tell if Beats are real are not (at least the Solo 3) is that authentic ones have the W1 chip that will automatically connect to your Apple device, and fake ones don't have that Apple W1 chip. Again I was a little worried when my Beats didn't connect after I pressed the power button just once like the instructions said, but on a second try I decided to hold the button down for a few seconds and then the lights started slowly blinking and the headphones instantly connected to my phone in the exact manner as my AirPods so these are 100% authentic. Even if you're still worried about the authenticity, the great news is that mine came with a card from Amazon saying that because this was refurbished, you have 90 days to try it or return it. So when you get yours, just set an event in your calendar 2 months in the future to remind you to decide whether you think you've been scammed and are happy or not.COLORThis is a beautiful color much like the gold iPhone 8's (not too brassy gold, not too pink), although is slightly different because the iPhone has a glass back which makes it glossy and these are matte. I was initially concerned about the matte because I remembered how the matte black iPhone 7 scratched easier than the glossy black iPhone 7 did (the Apple references are because Apple makes Beats), but so far these seem to be less scratch-prone than glossy Beats. In doing some research on these, I did see a review on the Apple website saying that this color has a tendency to turn blue on the foam earpieces but I have not yet had that experience.QUALITYThese are great headphones! I was initially concerned about getting refurbished headphones but mine connected to Bluetooth perfectly, all of the buttons work, and there is no signs of physical wear on them, so I'm really glad I saved $100 going refurbished. The sound is great and these are supposed to get over 40 hours of battery life. I got them to study with and even though they are on-ear, they are so plushy that they don't hurt my ears or squeeze at all and are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Another feature that makes them very comfortable is that they are lightweight so you don't get a headache from dead weight on your head. However, there is a tradeoff for this lightness and that is noise cancelling. The SOLO3 has NOISE ISOLATION which I researched and found basically just means it covers your ears enough to muffle out the sounds; the STUDIO3 has NOISE CANCELING which has a chip to actually filter out sounds and dramatically reduce what noise you hear, and are also over-ear so they encompass your whole ear and better block out sound. If you are traveling or need to actually drown out other people, the STUDIO might be better for you. But if you just want to listen to music and have at least a little bit of noise muffled out (more than what the AirPods can do), then the SOLO might be enough for you.The STUDIO is more expensive and heavier, though. Beats Studio3 Wireless HeadphonesWHAT YOU GETLastly, what you get in the box are the headphones which fold up, a travel pouch (with a Beats logo that in the same matte gold), a cord to connect your headphones to a headphone jack (so if for some reason you don't like wireless or are having Bluetooth issues; note-- you'll need a dongle to use with iPhone 7 and newer though since those don't come with a headphone jack), a charging cord (but no cube so you'll just have to borrow your phone's cube), and a carabiner-type clip to hook the travel pouch on to your bag (oh and the pouch has a pocket which can hold both cords).

Not a good product, unfortunately. Caveat, emptor!
For years, now, I’ve thought of these headphones (Beats Solo3) as being probably the best headphones one could get for any amount of money or, if not, then some higher end Beats headphones, with these still being excellent. Not so.Now, I found out before I made this purchase that my former assumption was just plain wrong. Nevertheless, I still supposed they were very good headphones and, for this price, certainly worth buying. Unfortunately, I was wrong about that, too. So much so, it was astonishing to me.The headphones aren’t over-ear, nor are they ANC—these things I knew before. But I had no idea how unbelievably tiny they are. Just—as if designed for a toddler or something. And the sound quality was so poor, the maximum volume possible was lower than I normally listen at, and I don’t listen at especially high volumes.I knew there was a lot of undeserved hype due to the well-known brand. But I didn’t know it was the name alone I was paying for. Hollywood and Apple have artificially inflated beyond all reason the perceived quality of these headphones. It seems the good doctor (Dr. Dre) has a far better business acumen than he has anything else. These headphones are more like Dr. Seuss than any other. Even worse than green eggs and ham.I consider myself an optimist. Truly. And I much prefer giving positive feedback than negative. But in this case, I cannot see any way to do so. There just isn’t anything positive about them.I therefore was obliged to simply send them back for a refund.

Good boom for buck!
Nice set really no problems, the only thing is it didn’t come with any directions. So I was literally in the dark guessing charging time and other things you’d refer to the instructions for was just a complete miss. Other than that I love’em sound great. The headset takes some time to break in but really after awhile you don’t even notice. Definitely would buy again.
