I bought this for my kids… but let’s be honest, it was really for me and my unresolved childhood need to see Papa Bear make one more questionable life decision.This complete collection is 96% heartwarming life lessons and 4% unhinged bear chaos. You’ve got Mama Bear holding the emotional labor of an entire forest ecosystem, Papa Bear consistently violating basic safety protocol, and Brother and Sister Bear navigating life one overly specific parable at a time. Honestly, it's like a bear-themed Ted Talk on accountability, but with better hats.Each story sneaks in a moral lesson like a ninja in overalls. My toddler is learning about kindness and hygiene. I’m learning that I may, in fact, still need to be reminded not to yell at traffic.TL;DR: Buy it for the kids. Stay for the nostalgia, questionable bear parenting, and the creeping suspicion that you, too, might be Mama Bear.Would absolutely recommend—unless you're Papa Bear. In which case… maybe read it twice.

I'm so happy that we could get this DVD!! Just wish there was an option to select a different language like spanish!

Bought this for my toddler and he loves it. And honestly love that he loves it, a slower paced cartoon about morals and isn’t flashy or in your face. We need more good cartoons for young children rather than the slop that’s produced today (with some exceptions, we are all Bluey lovers in this house, toddler and adults. And most PBS shows are on the higher end of quality toddler programing).

This is a great show for children! Always a good lesson to learn and lots of fun to watch. It's funny, heartwarming, exciting, even suspenseful sometimes! It's nice to look at unlike so many shows for kids that have ugly characters. There's no obnoxious or inappropriate content like belching or crude talk. The music is fun! There are a couple of episodes we skip, (like the Halloween one) but all the rest are golden! It does mention millions of years when talking about dinosaurs, which some families may appreciate being aware of.

The content is safe and wholesome. I watched these as a kid and all the lessons and stories still apply to growing kiddos today. No crazy excitement or huge plots. Relaxing and engaging at the same time. My 3.5 year old loves them. The CD's give you the option to play the whole cd series or select one show at a time. Gives you the ability to watch one 20 or 30 min show. I can't remember the exact timing of each show but it's around 30 min.

For those who are on the hunt for the original 1985 episodes, these aren't it.These are those early 2000's episodes from PBS kids.Still, at least I have something to add to my Film and Television collection.
