Excellent by all means Sound Quality
Excellent by all means Sound Quality, Excellent Build Quality, Connectivity, Ease of use !!!!!I was quite worried while reading the negative reviews about the core. But to my surprise the sound quality exceeded my expectations. As rightly pointed by many the core placement makes its important to get the full output of this speaker. Sound is really room filling even athalf volume. Bass on the lower side to my expectations but you cant expect more from this tiny little box. Definitely the additional sub wooferwill make the Core the perfect Home Theater System. Thanks to Amazon on their prompt delivery of the Product. No regrets whatsoever !!!!!!

Nice Sound for a Small Space - Just Not Very Loud
We bought this hoping it would be a good solution for our music room. Our intention was to have a bluetooth speaker that we could play clarinet, guitar, and maybe some sax alongside. Unfortunately the instruments just overwhelm the sound coming out of the Core. It is a very nice compact speaker and it is well constructed with a quality feel. The sound is very clean and clear with nice range. The holographic sound was pretty good listening to Pink Floyd's Money in a wood floored and wood paneled room approximately 15' x 20'. It just doesn't get very loud. We are going to keep it though. It sounds great in the kitchen!

Great sound, great value with lower price
This is my second set of Cores. Sound quality continues to be its best selling point, but now with a significantly reduced price compared to when it was released, the Core becomes competitive and is great value. I have a mix of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and regular speakers used with my stereo. The Core remains a standout for its sound clarity and realism, and its connectivity options let you use this with TVs as a soundbar, with any wired subwoofer, and as a high-quality DAC. There aren't many better options near the $200 price.

Clunky device and no customer service
Got my Core this morning (Saturday) plugged it in. Connected it with my iPhone. Everything worked for an hour. Then the sound cut out and an occasional clicking could be heard, but no music. Disconnect iPhone. After several attempts connected with my iPad. No joy, connected but no sound, just an occasional clicking noise. Reset the device. No joy. Same result. Told iPhone and iPad to forget device, then reconnected. Same thing.Went to Mass Fidelities website. No joy. Called their help desk. No one is at work. They are only open taking calls when I am at work. No weekend hours. Now I have an overpriced, heavy black box sitting in my living room doing nothing.I paid a lot for this POS and the lack of customer service.Thank the lord I got this through Amazon. They already agreed to take this defective POS back. Sending it back Monday. $600 speaker system that just crackles..no response from the manufacturer. No way to do business.

Only a so-so speaker that is far too overhyped for what it does
This is an OK speaker whose chief features are a cool look and portability. But so far, all the hype about its producing a "holographic sound wave" is just that, hype. Although the creators of this device claim you cannot tell the difference between this small speaker and two large stereo speakers set a distance apart, the truth is (as I listen to it) that you can readily tell the sound is all coming out of just the one speaker. For my ears, it is only slightly better than the sound I get out of the Amazon Echo. The Core speaker is definitely not worth shelling out $499 for, but I will stick with it because of its easy portability. If I had to do it all over again, I would not buy this product.I will update this review if for some unforeseen reason the sound experience improves.

Not loud enough for the Pricetag.
If you're looking for a loud speaker, do not buy this. I use it in open outdoor spaces and other cheaper speakers did a better job. Do not brag about this speaker to friends before buying it because it would cause some embarrassment. It is not worth the high pricetag unless you only want good quality audio in a closed space. Started having some speaker rattling after day 4 of using it very very moderately. I'm somewhat satisfied.

Incredible Sound fron a Little Cool Looking Box
I had my Doubts, I plugged it in and paired my phone. The Sound IS really as they claim. It is also some of the most "real", "big" and "natural" sounding music reproduction I have ever heard from a small speaker.Sound-stage: Wide and well placedTonality: Natural and un-coloredTiming: Fast and nice impact**Holographic and well placed, with incredible "natural sounding ambience"

Elegant, sleek product.
Elegant, sleek product. The remote doesn't always respond as well as I'd like. Sound is fantastic, although it doesn't get as loud as I had hoped. Which is fine for my use. Sounds better than older Soundlink from Bose that I also use.
