Covering the base boards.
I used it to cover my baseboards in my kitchen. I hated seeing the scuff marks. I cleaned the surface with rubbing alcohol and waited for it to dry. It is a very forgiving material. It is easy to line up the seams. It added depth and some color to my kitchen. It is very sticky; please take your time and try not to have it stick to itself. I have not seen any peeling from my work. Easy to smooth out. I will buy more to finish this project.

Great product!
Easy to use and looks amazing! The pattern alignment was very easy. Sticks easily and stays. The peeling ability was a little fustrating where as it doesn't peel like you would it expect it to. Overall for me it wasn't bad at all and love the way it looks once settled.

a little thin, and tears easily if not careful, but works well enough to cover shelves and worktops
This did the job of covering an older laminate worktop. It is on the thinner side. It tore easily when I was trying to cut angles. It is easy to remove and reposition as long as you are careful on the edges. The edges again are susceptible to tearing. I was able to cover the surface, and use a box cutter to angle cut the edges for a nice clean edge. It matches up fairly well if you overlap it. The seams are not overly noticeable. This is a nice black, perfect for my son's gaming den. It wipes clean with a damp rag.

Great Product and Easy to Work With
We wanted to give our rent house a temporary upgrade to make it feel more cozy and more our style (ignore the mess, just moved). I purchased 3 rolls in order to do a feature wall behind our bed and the end of hallway wall. I only ended up using 2 rolls, but I had to start piecing sections together. I could have opened the third, but by nature I like to get use out of every single scrap, and the best part of this product is you cannot tell AT ALL where the seams are. The wood grain pattern is so subtle that you don’t have to worry with matching anything up. Major tip my MIL told me when installing is that you don’t have to go floor to wall behind your bed (we don’t plan on rearranging our room, no other options) so we stopped right below the head board, and on my side (far side) we stopped right below night stand. Made the product go a lot further!I’ll say the product is very thin, but not see through whatsoever. This may be normal thickness, who knows. It was my first time doing peel and stick so it could just be to my surprise.Anyway, no reports on how it removes or if it keeps paint — except for during the process of hanging — you can remove it easily to reposition if you have wrinkles. So, super long winded way of saying buy it!! It made a huge change to the overall look of our house and I’m very happy with it.

Super fragile - difficult to use - doesn't release wrinkles
I intended to cover the tops of shelves that were part of a mobile computer stand so it was necessary that the product lay flat and without wrinkles. The product was difficult to unroll as it was stored/shipped on a roll that was about 1-inch in diameter. It would not release it's shape. After unrolling the product and trimming to rough size, I attempted to back-roll the sheet to get it to lay flat so it could be more easily applied. After doing this, I noted small wrinkles throughout the sheet as shown in the pictures.I began applying the product to a shelf about 11.5” x 40” starting at the narrow end. While most of the material laid out flat as expected, the wrinkles shown did not disappear. In fact, additional wrinkles appeared. I gently lifted the material several times in and attempted to ‘work/stretch’ the product to remove the wrinkles, but they always seemed to return. And, as gentle as I was lifting the material, it was so thin, it would tear. Finally, after several attempts to get the product to look right, I finally gave up.But before removing the sheets that were applied, I wanted to test the durability of the product. I scratched the surface with my fingernail, slid a keyboard back and forth across the surface, ran a mouse around simulating use and finally placed a monitor stand on one of the shelves. In all cases, there were marks left on the surface that could not be removed. It is my opinion that, although this product appears to be made of vinyl, it is not suited for everyday use on furniture or counter tops as stated in the listing. Although the product does have great adhesion and looks like real wood-grain, it is too thin and fragile to be used in a location that may have any physical contact after application. The best description/comparison I have for this product is that it is a self-adhesive contact paper and should be used as such.

You get what you pay for
You get what you pay for. This is my second time using contact paper and this is nothing like the quality of the other paper I purchased from Amazon. This paper is very thin and fragile. It was getting scratched up just from being installed so I know it will look terrible with regular use. Also it's not very sticky. The plus it is very pretty and has a nice texture, if only it were thicker and stickier.

Great for certain projects.
I bought this to cover damaged backerboard on a second-hand desk so it would look almost new again. It was not easy to put up horizontally, on my assembled desk. The process took me about an hour to get right. It doe adhere very well and smooths out beautifully. It will damage paperboard in removal so I suggest not using it on actual walls or cabinets that have a layer of paper over particle board. The color is black and it has a beautiful wood grain texture to the material. You cannot see through this material and it functions as intended.
