Does the power cord have an “on/off” switch??

I have one with an on/off switch on the cord, and a newer one that has the switch on the light bar.

What kind of bulb is included?

It is a grow light that puts out zero heat.I use mine everyday for starter plants and Christmas cactus and a few orchids. Love it. great help in freezing weather.

can i use a dimmer on if is too bright ?

dimmers want work on fluorescent bulbs.
