good quality
if you want to test these before installing, just insert a piece of housing into the small end as shown, cable not necessary, just the housing. unlike some other adjusters, these require housing and won't work without housing installed in that end. that's good, because that's what allows adjustment with one hand while riding, as some other (cheap) adjusters require 2 hands which is inconvenient. this night be obvious to some, but I bet people have returned these because they thought they didn't work.testing before installation is always good, and this also let's you take them apart and add a drop off oil to the threads before installation.I haven't even installed these yet and I can tell these are good adjusters that will work well. I'll update my review later after I have some time to use them.

Must have adjusters!
It took me about 20 min for two bikes to install these (I installed them only for rear brakes, so one per bike). You will definitely need to adjust your cable first, as close as possible to ideal, THEN these will do their job.I bought them for some monster - Frankestein-ian bikes I created from our two hybrids (installed road bike handlebars and brake levers) and it drove me nuts because I couldn't get the rear brakes JUST right from the cable adjustment only. I needed either half a millimeter more or less. These adjusters were a God send! They will let you adjust brakes to the exact sweet spot that you can't find from adjusting only the cable. They seemed a little difficult to turn but I lubricated them upon installation and they work just fine!Hope this helps :)

Good deal at ten bucks
So far they are priced according to value. Three stars because the cost is as high as the market can bear.

Works, but only 2mm?
I'm estimating, but the range from fully compressed to fully extended is very little, perhaps 2mm? Then again, when you really need one, there's no substitute...

I have found you can depend on Jagwire quality.
Needed an in-line brake adjuster for my old ‘74 vintage Raleigh Super Course. This was a great alternative. Low profile, well made & can be mounted anywhere in on the housing. ( I placed it upfront, between the Brifter and the front cable housing stop.)I have found you can depend on Jagwire quality.

Used them on my motrized bike
Got he double cable for my motorized bicycle. Was able to fine tune the brakes on the fly since the cable didn't come with individual adjusters. Put a second set of brakes on the front so the dual brake handle only did two brakes instead of three. When I can afford it I will get disc brakes. The dual fronts work good for now. Glad I put them on.

The product is great they're strong
The product is great they're strong, sturdy and tiny. The shipping not so, wanted to save a buck, and bought from another seller. Waited 5 days, versus 2 days prime. Spend that $1 extra and buy via prime. If you're not in a hurry, save a buck i guess.
