Great recipes and illustrations!!
The media could not be loaded. Beautiful cook book! The first one I received had a bunch of scratches down the front cover, but costumer service was great and they replaced it with a new one really fast. I mainly got it for the aesthetic purposes and how AWESOME it looks of my bookshelf. 🤪But honestly it’s got some wicked cool recipes in there! I made the Lembas bread and Honey cakes, they were so cool and delicious! I can’t wait to try out the other recipes!Lots of incredible illustrations. Beautiful collectors book and looks super cool on my shelf with my other LOTR books. If you are a big LOTR/Hobbit fan like me and love to try out new recipes, I highly recommend getting this cook book, you will not be disappointed!

Quality of the content & artwork in the book.
Awesome purchase for Tolkien admirers. Each recipe is referenced to the scenes in the movie it belongs to along with the appropriate history that goes with it.

Holy wow. This book.Okay so...My husband gifted it to me several months ago and, in true lazy person fashion, I flipped through, loved it in concept, and then never made anything from it because it felt overwhelming.Fast forward to March 2021. We had changed our diet to something in the realm of the Mediterranean Diet because of cholesterol issues (mainly vegetarian, lots of seafood, some of pretty much everything else in moderation). We were struggling to find delicious, easy, and fun to make recipes that fit those nutritional “guidelines” and, on a whim, I pulled this book off the shelf. There are certainly recipes that don’t conform to the Medi-Diet, but as I said before: holy wow. This book is a treasure trove and runs the gamut of comestibles genuine to the various cultures of Middle Earth. The artwork is spectacular, the recipes are diverse/accurate to Tolkien’s world/approachable/varied/etc., and the anecdotes/explanations that accompany each entry are insightful, applicable, and charming.Hats off to the author. This is by far one of the best books I’ve ever purchased.Photos accompanying this post correspond to: Pippin’s Minas Tirith Lunch (modified to remove pork pies and include smoked salmon instead), and Farmer Maggot’s Mushrooms on Toast.

Well made and great for fans.
Bought this for my wife and she loved it. She was excited to thumb through and was naming recipes she knew would probably be in the book. The book is of good quality and the recipe layout was nice. There is cute artwork throughout the book.

Excited to Cook LOTR Dishes!
The book is large, hard cover and is, visually, a work of art. I think the art could have been more Tolkien inspired and could have used more of a classically LOTR feel, but it is still extremely beautiful and lore-accurate. We haven’t made any of the recipes yet but they all sound delicious and actually like something you’d want to try…except for the dragon eggs…not too sold on that recipe.
