This is a wonderful guide to give you things to think about and how to really make sure you are keeping proper track of your expenses, goals and what may be the best way to go about it. This is a wonderful tool that isn't just limited to beginners and this isn't a book you will only use once. I reference this great read often, sometimes going back through. Each time I read the book I understand something better than I did before, so much information in this great guide!

I have read this cover to cover and plan to read it again! I love the practical approach that this book takes to homesteading. Modern homesteading means adapting the “off grid” days of yore to producing what you can on your property, no matter the size.This book not only suggests some great ideas but it also reminds the reader to do a “feasibility check”. It reminds you that you need to know all aspects of raising goats before you take on the expense and responsibility of doing so.Highly, highly recommend. It’s an enjoyable read too!
