This hat would be perfect for the beach. I have trouble finding hats that will fit my small head, so i was really excited that this hat comes in a smaller size. I actually bought this hat to wear in a race because I am running in a really hot and sunny country. I think that it will be great because it fits well enough that there is very little bounce.Cons: The hat is a little rigid and you definitely have to make sure it doesn't get smashed in your bag or it would break. The top of mine got broken a little bit in transit, but I'm just going to stick some glue on it and hope it stays together. This is a one-trip-use hat. I couldn't see it lasting more than one season without breaking.

I bought this hat for field work in the high desert. I have only worn it for about two weeks so I cannot speak to its durability, but so far I really like it. I am petite so it fits my head well. I like that the rim curves down slightly and seems to provide more shade than a previous straight brimmed hat I had. I also work in windy conditions and as long as the drawstring is tight, I don't have to worry about the wind catching it and constantly blowing it off my head. I do worry about durability over time and think I will have to be careful with it, but it is reasonably priced so having to buy a replacement would not be a big issue. I hope it lasts at least the summer if not longer.

I know its weird to talk about the smell of a hat, BUT, this smells like you're in a field of hay, but in a really good way!! My daughter and I both have one, and she especially can't stop talking about how wonderful the smell is when wearing it. OF course, it does what its supposed to do too - fits well, keeps the sun at bay, and has an easily adjustable chin strap that also allows it to drape around your neck when not on your head. Looks great too.

Started coming apart within the first hour of wearing it. Bought for vacation to PR and didn’t last. Was not worth the money. There is also no lining and the sun came in and still burned my face. Could easily see holes of sun light on my face.

This straw hat is the perfect size and fit, offering excellent sun coverage. I love the style and get lots of compliments whenever I wear it. However, this is my second one because the hat tends to break easily. While it's great in terms of design and functionality, it’s a bit delicate.

Needed a good summer hat for my very fair skin and this was a great choice! I love that I can adjust the string when it’s windy and the wider brim helps cover a lot of my body. I was in a canoe for 6 hours in July and it covered my face, chest and shoulders.

This hat is super lightweight and the sun coverage is amazing. It’s does feel a little flimsy, but it’s a straw hat. I take extra care and caution as you should. I’ve worn it cutting the grass, the beach, pool, and tubing at the springs. It has held up very well. I have a small head and majority of these hat flip and flop on me. The S/M size for this hat is perfect. I will definitely buy another one the day this one kicks the bucket.

For $30 this is an amazing hat she’s huge for a start and has a toggle which was superb when hiking on a windy day. The rim is so large your neck is protected and the under lining is so cute. I love this hat so much! Perfect for the beach, a hike or gardening (I wear it for all). Can’t recommend enough. Sturdy design and cute to boot. Love this hat!!!
