Great scope for my purpose
I searched for a fixed 4x scope for use on a Henry frontier long barrel .22 to rival the Bushnell scopechief that I had back in the 1970's and found nothing similar currently produced. Until I discovered this Hawke 4x32. Perfect match for my use at moderate range for target shooting and plinking. Bright clear view, good eye relief, and seemingly excellent quality. I've been to the range twice so far.....once to sight in and once just for fun.......I am really happy with this scope. At this price point, I don't believe one could do better!

Great scope and company
Update:I'm not sure if the problem was with my gun or the scope I originally purchased but Hawke has a lifetime warranty on their scopes and they replaced mine. They were very easy and great to deal with and the scope has been dead on.I would recommend the scope and the company as well. I had a problem and they took great care of me.Thank youOriginal review:I've seen a few reviews that mirror my experience. I bought this scope as an upgrade to my Gamo spring air rifle. I sighted it in and and was hitting almost everything I was shooting at. And the misses were obviously me. I was very impressed. Then after a month of so and maybe 100 rounds, I couldn't hit anything. I set up to resight the scope but was unable to do it. Dialed in on bullseye, the scope was shooting in a 2-3" spread at 20 yards and totally inconsistent from shot to shot.Maybe I just got a bad one, but my scope is a piece of crap. Other's have had this experience so beware.

Initial Review
Just installed the scope on my Benjamin Trail NP2 today.I’ve only shot it a few times while tuning the new aftermarket trigger so this is just my first impressions of the scope. The scope came well packaged in a nice box with a cleaning cloth and instruction manual. Both the adjustable objective, the power ring and the eyepiece focus controls move reasonably easy but would stay at the setting unless moved. Both of the horizontal and vertical adjustment turrents are easily adjusted with fingers and have positive click detents. The scope is crystal clear and the AO works as it should. On first impression this is a very nice air gun scope for the price. My only complaint would be that the reticle and mil-dots are very fine and tend to get lost in a dark or cluttered background. Cranking the power up tends to help a bit but this reticle, at least in the un-illuminated version, would not be my choice as a hunting scope.I will update this again once I get it sighted and do so accuracy testing.

Good buy for the money
Wonderful scope- fits right on to my pellet rifle, and makes it really easy to not miss~And mine is spring loaded version- this scope doesent' seem to mind a bit!

Perfect Match for the Avenger – A Must-Have for Iguana Hunts!
This Hawke Airmax Airgun Scope pairs beautifully with the Air Venturi Avenger. The clarity and precision are top-notch, making it perfect for our iguana adventures in florida. Whether I’m taking a long shot or lining up a close-range target, this scope delivers every time. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their airgun game! We use these on our rental guns and they are far above the rest .

Great basic airgun (or firearm) scope
Optical quality (sharpness, contrast, flare resistance) is excellent, as is overall build quality. If all you need is a fixed 4X for daytime use, it's really hard to go wrong with this, especially at the asking price!

It lost zero within 100rds on swarm magnum. 22
It lasted mabey 100 shots then started dropping. Then all over ... tried 5 sets of mounts. Then changed scopes.. stock gamo 3x9 and what do you know.. Hawke scope is a lemon!! Dont know it I just got a bad one or it cant handle the recoil of the Swarm Magnum.. but they say their high recoil rated... that is why I bought the Airmax.. but very disappointed.. going too return it for a replacement. I really hope it works out . The only thing I dont like was the reticle was really thin.. in the woods- trees hard too see. Works great for target shooting..Some things really bother me is the objective lens threads have loctite sealer in them. Signs of it being refurbished or really bad quality control... see pictures. Turret pointers move freely..Will update what happensSent the scope bad on nov 10th. It was received on the nov. 13th. Its the 16th still no refund.. very very frustrated!!! As the first purchase was on October 5th. I still have no scope or refund yet. As you can imagine I'm not happy!!! Update. 1-15-21Would NEVER RECOMMEND!! TRIED 6 OF THESE. ALL JUNK!!! this last one would have several random flyers.. then I figure it was shooting great if you were level... air few inches up on the target like 6 to 8 in it would shoot low.. air at the lower bullseye and it would be high..... shoot back at the center bullseye and it was on again... turrets weren't responding in correlation with the arrows.. moved it 5clicks up and it went down 2inches!!! Wtf!!! Sometimes a full turn and a half too get a response on point if impact... just for their price and saying it will hold up too the magnum swarm.. it didn't even take the swarm whisper. 22 recoil.. maney their 600$and up Airmax scopes are good.. but these Airmax 4x12x40 AO are completely useless!!! I will say the glass is super clear but at for performance these are crap!!!I but the Gamo 4x32 factory scope back on.. and was hitting 1in groups at 30yrs!! Now its seriously the Tack driver !! Cant believe all this time and frustration was due too Hawke Airmax Garbage!!! Hope this helps someone so they dont have to go threw this!!! Do not buy!!

Ok for a cheap scope.
Works ok for the price. If you are looking into sun rise or sun set to shoot for get it.It collects a ton of sun rings and can't shot deer.Pulled it off and replaced next day.
