It was long past time to get a new helmet. I am not the competitive cyclist I used to be. So, I just needed a helmet for running errands and occasional recreational rides. I also needed a helmet for horse back riding. This one checked off all those boxes. it looks enough like a riding helmet that I fit in with the horse ladies. Added bonus, with this new technology, the helmet sit a bit more off your head so air circulation is greater that my fancy old racing helmet. The helmet is comfortable. Fit perfectly out of the box with minor adjustments. And, the color is not obnoxious. For the price, I think this one is a great value.

Great quality helmet for mountain biking at a great price. I’m not one that could ever justify spending $200 or more on a helmet, so this was the perfect find. It has a comfortable snug fit and the color options are stunning too!

The Giro is my first helmet purchase ever. So I don't know if it's my head or how helmets are but it feels odd and bulky on my head. It IS lightweight, however, and I'm hoping it will do as it says and protect my head to some extent. I do appreciate that one can "dial" the back of the helmet for a better fit. This works out well. What is puzzling is they spent a ton of money on R&D to design a good protective helmet, but then put about 50 cents on a plastic clasp at the neck to hold the whole thing together. As an aside, the typefont for my address on the package was so small my driver incorrectly read my apartment number and gave me someone else's package who lives 10 doors down. I was home and had to run out before he left to retrieve my Giro helmet package. This is the second time their drivers have done this and each time the typefont on the label was so small I could barely read it myself. This is a systemic problem and not Giro's fault. I put a big sign on my (ground floor) apartment door with my number on it just so drivers can see it from the parking lot - and while it helps them, what would really help would be larger fonts on labels.

I've had this helmet for a couple years now and it's held up great. This helmet is a fantastic low cost option. The guys I ride with even have these helmets and they are way more experienced than I am. If you're on a budget and need a helmet for mountain biking than this is definitely the one to gravitate towards.

Good quality and fits properly. but amazon prime is getting lazier and lazier. delayed for a week and CS does not help at all.
