These work fantastic, but do need a tweak. I initially used a small rubber band in the center to keep additional string from unwinding, but the Colorado sun ate them in less than a week. I ended up using about a 3 inch strip of velcro (the kind you get in the garden section to tie tomatoes) wrapped around the center to prevent the wind from unraveling more line. I originally thought I would only need one per plant, so I thought I would have an abundance of extras. However, I started with one per tomato plant, but have had to add more as they got bigger and developed more main stems. Glad I have so many "extras" to add as they get bigger. Great purchase!

These held up all summer. Great value for the money. They are sturdy and versatile. I will definitely buy more.

These hooks are easy to use. I was surprised how easy. I learned about them on YouTube on my favorite gardening channel. We put screw hooks at the top of the trellis and hung these hooks. We tied a metal garden staple to the end of the attached cord. (You can also use tent stakes.) Then we unraveled the cord to push the staple into the soil. We’re only using these for tomatoes but next year I’m planning to buy more for beans. And I’ll be able to reuse these because there is plenty of cord still wrapped around each hook. If I can use them 2 or 3 years, they’re a good investment. And the hooks can be used after the cord runs out just by adding new cord. I highly recommend them.

I jimmy rigged an A-Frame trellis using garden stakes so it was hard to hook these on the top since the stakes are thick but they worked beautifully once I managed to keep them on and staking the end of the string into the dirt. I loved how I was able to keep my cucumber vines under control by clipping the main vine to the string. I plan on making a permanent structure next spring and these will definitely be put to good use.

These are good quality and work very well for stringing up indeterminate tomatoes. If I expand my tomato garden, I will certainly buy more.

I grew my tomatoes on a string trellis last summer. These were perfect and easy to use. Durable and can be reused again this year.

They work well. I like how they hold up my plants and the cord can be released when needed to allow a little more give to the growth of the plant. They do the job well.
