Great Fry Cutter
This fry cutter works great! It slices potatoes quickly and easily; I like how easily it cuts vegetables. It isn’t very difficult to clean, but it does require some disassembly to clean it properly. It is made of stainless steel, it is restaurant quality, sturdy and well made. It was a good value for the money.

Works as described. Rugged, cuts potatoes, even sweet potatoes well.
Rugged, cuts potatoes, even sweet potatoes well. All ascpects of the maching work as described. I would prefer it to be easier to clean, but do not know how they would accomplish that, maybe include a cleaning tool / brush specifically designed to clean the blades? That said, great machine that I use several times a week making healthier french fries.

Very sturdy unit should last a long time
Using the unit to cut potatoes into French Fries. Very sturdy unit holding up very well to force required to cut up large potatoes. A little time consuming to clean since the unit needs to be mostly disassembled, however it is an easy intuitive process. Good value for the money with a great design for cutting though potatoes very quickly.

Gets the job done but laborious to clean
This French fry cutter is easy to operate and effective for home use. The suction cups hold the unit securely in place and the handle is long enough to provide sufficient leverage to easily push the potato through the cutter. The cutter produces cleanly cut moderately large fries - a comfortable medium between shoestring and steak fry. The one hassle with the device is the cleaning. The die comes off easily enough with wingnuts but the plate that pushes the potato through requires a screwdriver and some fiddling to reassemble after cleaning. Overall a good product that could use a minor tweak to make it even better.

5 star fry cutter
I got this for a gift for my husband for Father's day. It is heavy built and sturdy. It works perfectly. It cuts right through potatoes and is simple to use. The handle is heavy so it takes less strength to cut than other cutters we used. We did have a few notes though. There was some assembly required and no instructions in the box so it took a few minutes to figure out how all the pieces went together. Also it only comes with one blade piece so you can only cut one size. Additional blades are sold separately but are a bit pricey.

Perfect cutting tool!
Excellent product & only wish I’d have purchased this tool a long time ago, as it has greatly simplified my French fry making process for me. Cut a large batch of French fries as soon as I got it & was extremely happy with the result. Was also relatively easy to clean but be super careful around the blade/cutting area as they are extremely sharp, as one could imagine!

Well built
Works great and sturdy built. Not too hard to clean but you have to remove three wing nuts to clean cutter holes blades. I would buy again.

Must have for the next level food prep.
I love it! We use it often. It's a must have for anyone that wants to eat fresh.

It takes a bit to get into the rhythm of working this properly. I can see how people damage the blades right away. If you put too large a potato in it will be very difficult to push through and you end up slamming it repeatedly to force it through. The problem I found isn't the length of the potato but its girth. Cut the Potatoes in half or quarters lengthwise and it will go through like butter. Also I find you need to use momentum -one big quick swooping push of the lever seems most efficient to make effortless fries. This saves a ton of time. And with all the surplus potatoes from the garden it was great way to slice them up quick , I then blanche 5 minutes then cool, then fry in Ghee another 3-5minutes allow to cool. Then measure out portions into vacuum seal bags to freeze for later use.

...apparently. I bought this as a birthday gift for my potato eating husband (in July). He has had potatoes every day since. I fear he may run off with a potato... Jokes aside, he loves this thing. It's easy to use, easy to disassemble to clean, stores well, and sticks to whatever non-porous surface you use. Cuts through potatoes in no time. This is no flimsy plastic potato cutter that breaks after one use; this thing is STURDY. Made of metal, will hopefully last for ages.

Look out potatoes. Got a mess of old broken plastic framed cutters to recycle. I don't foresee any problems now I've received my Weston.

It’s not very strong so longevity won’t be a thing with this.
