My old hand air pump packed up and I needed a replacement. So after much research I found one that hopefully would do the trick. I purchased an Alca “Germany” Aeropump. Although it states “Germany” in the name, it is manufactured in China, which is definitely misleading. I do realise that most everything is manufactured in China these days but I also appreciate honesty, but with online shopping for the normal mode of obtaining anything, honesty went out the door ages ago. The pump is adequate. I use the pump to keep air in a car tire that has a slow leak that the tire people can’t seem to locate and fix so it looses air and needs to be pumped back up. My old pump required 75-80 pumps to add about 10 pounds of air to the tire. This new one took me 200-210 pumps and that is a bit much. The one thing that is definitely a problem is that the end piece that attaches to the valve stem is far too bulky to fit easily onto the valve stem. That does present a problem trying to get it on the valve stem while trying to keep it far away enough from the tire rim to get it on properly. It was not an easy task to say the least. So this is an adequate pump but it is not what I was expecting for the price.

Used for inflating bicycle tyres and football, seems to be a really good quality pump

Kept in car for emergency. Came to pump up beach The valve head didn’t work it blew out of both holes. No matter how well I fitted the adapter. So disappointed after spending so much.
