A Great Resource on Humans
It is great to finally have someone explain humans to us and it is much better if this someone is Professor Andrew Martin. Only he, not being a human himself, can give us quasi-objective descriptions of certain characteristics unique to this species.Don’t be afraid, this book isn’t your usual dry, scientific text-book. You will hop from term to term and you probably won’t get enough. Professor Andrew Martin has lived with humans long enough to know what they are like. More than once, you will be nodding in agreement. Sometimes, you will have to laugh out loud. Once in a while, you will ask yourself if this alien has found a way to look inside the human soul.No matter if you are human or alien, Humans: An A-Z is a must-have companion. After reading, you will know much more about humans than you knew before and it will give you comfort in times of distress.

Fun and short compliment to the original book
This was fun. And poignant. I was especially struck by the insight that our strongest curses concern our manner of creation and the place from which we are born. It's short and quick, best read just after the original work.

So fun and beautiful
You should read the humans, and you should get this companion book!it's just simply brilliant.and if you don't get it he don't have a heart or a sense of humor or maybe a do but it's such an easy read but it is so complex and hilarious to boot.

Great! Funny, light and dark at times...
Great read. Some really punchy and perceptive definitions of humanity pointing out the beauty and futility of it all, wittily embodied in the form of an alien traveler's dictionary.I read Matt Haig's book, "The Humans" first, and I think it makes more sense to do it in that order, as some alien jokes and comments certainly make more sense having read that. Anyway, if you haven't you're in for a treat, frankly a bigger treat than this book.

An Alien Thesaurus
I really enjoyed this book. But it is a "devil's dictionary," rather than a book that goes deeper into any subject. Very light reading. Very quotable.

a funny and informative guide about humans
I am a Balzmanian biologist just about to leave to Earth to start collecting data on Earthlings. This book has certainly provided me with useful information about this particular species. It is also a good companion to the other anthropoids living on Earth who were led to believe they were humans but have always felt like aliens. This is also enlightning reading to those humans who are prone to produce wise thoughts between their ears.

Very funny and to the point...
Enjoyed this 'sequel' to the book very much. Same humor as in 'The Humans'. It is a kind of encyclopedia of human habits, phrases and customs. Very funny.

It was very funny
It’s a collection of our faults and good points. I thought that it was very amusing. Some might think it a bit droll ,which I suppose it was in part. Overall, a good read by this gifted author.u
