Great for the price
I can't believe the cost, I've seen this kit on websites and even in person starting at 45$ and climbing as high as 75$.I got it for for a steal, came in early and arrived in perfect condition. Love this suit and finally proud to have one. Gonna sit awhile before it's built. (Too many other projects) great price and great quality

My favorite Zaku
Love it. Backpack is super heavy so cant stand with it but its supposed to be in space anyway and a stand is included

Fun build, slightly loose lower body.
The detail is gorgeous and the stickers are relatively easy to apply, despite some of the odd contours, but some of them honestly make no sense. (20 or so plain black stickers meant to go on black plastic)There are a ton of tiny jets that must be placed, some were difficult to fit into the slot but eventually found their way.The plastic itself is sturdy and felt great in my hands, though the hoses that reach from the waist to the pack were terrifying, they are notched to allow for a minor bend and one section nearly ripped apart with gentle pressure. For the upper body, the joints are solid. You can make multiple poses without worrying about them slipping or coming loose. For the lower body however, the waist and both thigh joints are a little loose and will come apart without much effort. You will definitely want to use an action base for this kit as well, the display stand that comes with it is a little lacking, and for a 1/144 the finished kit is huge.

Kitchen-Sink Zaku Not For The Kiddies
This iteration of the venerable Zaku mobile suit is a must-have for collectors of the Thunderbolt series. The storyline revolves around this contraption and the consequences of its existence on the major characters of the manga and its anime adaptation. The figure, a highly mobile, heavily armored Zaku II, carries a custom backpack festooned with rocket boosters, vernier thrusters, bazookas, electric axes, and a machine gun, as well as extra ammunition. The kit is molded in five different colors, includes a display base, and, like other kits in the Thunderbolt series, includes both foil and clear stickers. Builders, however, should beware: this is a complicated kit, with many small, fragile parts, and is not quite as well-engineered as Gundam kits usually are. This is not a kit for the very young or less-experienced.The build is relatively straightforward, and features a heavily-armored figure with ball-and-socket joints at wrists, ankles, shoulders, and neck, double-joints at the knees, and rotation joints at upper arms and legs. The figure is quite posable, but suffers from the encumbrance of its heavy armor. Fit and engineering are good and generally up to Bandai's standards for this scale, but I found the larger parts show very visible seams and sprue-scars. Building the stand early in the assembly process allows for a safe platform to complete the major assembly; this figure's center of gravity shifts quite drastically throughout assembly. Builders should also mind the 55(!) Vernier thrusters scattered all over the figure and its accessories. These parts are small to tiny, and the smallest of them do not adhere well to the model; I cemented the chest, knee and crotch thrusters, fearful of losing any of them. The key attraction of this kit is its visible excess: Five bazookas (two of the 'BFG' variety), each with posable stocks, handles, sights, and lugs; two 'heat-hawk' electric axes, as well as the iconic Zaku gun, and magazines full of extra ammunition; all attach to the figure at numerous hardpoints, as well as the manipulator arms that attach to the figure's comically oversize (and vernier-festooned) backpack; the finished figure will occupy a significant amount of the builder's shelf-space. The gold-tinted plastic shows sprue-scars particularly badly, and certainly benefits from painting. The stand is somewhat precarious, and the kit has a bad tendancy to wobble under its own weight. That said, the kit is an impressive, and a definitive addition to the series.
