Q: What size tank does this require?

The Home and Camp Burner uses an 8oz. CB Butane Canister. This canister can be bought at local outdoor retailers.

Q: what is the weight limit for pot?

Snowpeak tells us although there isn't necessarily a weight limit for this stove, they do not recommend that you use more than a few pounds (i.e. 2-3 lbs.) when cooking with this stove. For instance, 1 gallon of water weighs 8.3 lbs. Moreover, Snow Peak does not recommend that the customer use cast iron with this stove. Only stainless steel, aluminum, ceramic, and titanium cookware can be used.

Q: Can you you use propane and an adapter?

Yes, if you can find a white gas to propane adapter that fits, then I don’t see why not, the only thing is the system is designed to house a can of white gas while connected and in use. The burner was designed to be a compact portable system that ran on a readily available fuel source. The beauty of the system’s compact design would be trumped by the attachment of a propane tank. There are other better stove options out there even made by snow peak that would be able to be outfitted with propane. There are lindal valve adapters that you can buy that allow the attachment of propane instead of isobutane.

Q: Can you use this with propane?

I’m not 100% sure but I’m thinking it only uses butane canisters they are about the size of your typical paint spray can..

Unusual design that works.

Strange design that is a great back up in the home and lovely for picnics. Heavy, quite large but satisfyingly over engineered it just screams quality. The built in pan rest is nice and big which equates to stability. Of all of my stoves I find myself using this the most as it’s really nice to use.highly recomended.

I was bitten by the Snow Peak bug over the summer, I am now a total fan boy. This burner is compact, well made (like all SP products) and delivers superb results (I am convinced this burner boils my camping kettle faster than any other). Worth every penny.

Great product but arrived scratched.

Communication with seller a bit slow. Love the item and I know I paid too much - but I really wanted it for an upcoming trip. Disappointed on the scratches though. Great product though.
