Very good
Powerful suction, lightweight, quiet and effective. I had the Shark for five years and it was loud and heavy and hair always got caught in the brushroll. I like this one much better. All the attachments work well. The storage bin is just the perfect size. I cleaned the living room and two bedrooms before I had to empty it. Itās very powerful and my house and floor feel much cleaner after. I donāt have any pets but have long hair and medium pile carpet, hardwood floor. Very minimal hair is caught in the brushroll and it can be taken apart to clean easily. I also love the Febreze filter that it comes with. The price is reasonable for such a powerful vacuum. Highly recommend if you need a vacuum for carpet, hardwood floor and long hair.

Amazing Vacuum
I have a cat who sheds like an old hound dog, so I need a vacuum that addresses the hair/fur problem. This is amazing! I got it on Prime Day (for about $125, not $179), so I haven't had it long enough to speak to its durability, but so far, it is the best vacuum I've ever used to remove pet hair! My brother-in-law who was visiting a week ago, ran my regular powerful vacuum through the living room and guest bedroom. When I got my Bissell, I thought I was just hitting the high spots and ended up doing the entire floor. I had to empty the thing about 4 times! It was FULL of cat hair and dirt the other vacuum missed, evidently! There are a few drawbacks (some other reviewers have noted them), as I see it: 1) It won't stand on its own--not a deal breaker for me, but annoying. 2) It's top heavy, and for a woman, this can be a drawback; my upper arms feel as if I've spent a day in the gym (maybe that's NOT a bad thing!). 3) It's hard to suck up gunk located too close to a wall--my old vac has suction on the sides of the unit and not just in the center front; having to switch to the crevice tool is inconvenient. 4) I question its durability; a lot of it is plastic, and it gets quite hot when vacuuming a large floor; we'll see. 5) The cup is a bit tricky to remove without dropping debris all over your clean floor. Would I buy this again? Oh, YEAH! Would I recommend it? For sure! I hope Bissell listens to its customers and makes the few simple design adjustments, and then they'll beat out their competition hands down!

Remarkable Value And Surprisingly Effective
I am beyond pleased with my most recent purchase of the Bissell PowerGlide Pet Slim Corded vacuum!! The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because literally the only thing that could make this vacuum cleaner better is a headlight on it. Let me tell you the value for the price is very remarkable. It has extremely powerful suction force and picks up all of my Pitt bullās loose hair all over the place. The suction is so powerful it actually makes taking the foot off a little challenging if itās still turned on. It is super lightweight and makes running the vacuum on my entirely hard floors a breeze to clean. There is also a convenient switch on top of the handle to switch back and forth from my rugs to hard floors seemlessly. The size is compact and all of the attachments make it so easy to make sure I can get all of the unwanted pet hair, debris, dirt, and dust from my floors, furniture, and all of those cracks and crevices; while the extra long power cord allows me to move freely from room to room without having to constantly stop and unplug and then replug. Iām so glad I chose this vacuum for my purchase!

Fabulous! And I have dogs that shed A LOT
This vacuum cleaner is phenomenal! As a total "clean freak" and efficient person I recommend it without hesitation. I bought this vacuum after having LVT floors installed throughout my house. I have two large retrievers that shed tons and this small workhorse is perfect for our large 3 story home with scattered area rugs. The vacuum is easy to maneuver on stairs and under even low clearance furniture. It has incredible suction power (lifts my Ruggable off of the underlying Velcro mat with how much power it has). It is very light weight. I empty the canister with each floor of the house. It doesn't spray particles behind it or scatter. It also has multiple areas where it can be detached to do other odds and ends and reach cobwebs etc in closets for example. It is easy to clean and the storage unit it comes with is very compact and easy to clip into to put it away. The cord is very long and allows me to plug in once per floor of the house usually. 100% recommend this and trust me I've even owned Dyson in the past. Also love that is a a pet friendly company that supports adoption of pets and animal shelters. Definitely would buy again.

I love it
I bought this to replace my old stick vacuum that was strictly for hard floors and my canister vacuum that has something wrong with it and is so loud I get a migraine every time I use it. My old stick vacuum was held together with duct tape and decided it was time. I love this vacuum. It picks up great on both hard floors and carpets. I have 4 cats and it picks up the hair great. Our house is all hard floors except the bedrooms and an area rug in the family room. I love the long power cord on this. I can do the sunroom, kitchen, family room and both hallways without unplugging. I would have to move the plug 6 times with my old stick vacuum. Other than the bedrooms, the only area I can't reach is the laundry room , which is where the litter boxes are, and I just keep the old stick vacuum there to clean up the litter and not get any of that in my new vacuum. The 2 main complaints I read in the reviews are 1, the top heaviness. And it is top heavy. The first time I used it I thought, I'm not sure I like this, and thought I might send it back. But after using it, I got used to it and all the other things I like about it over rode that. If you have strength or mobility issues, this is probably not for you. I tell myself I'm getting a good workout when I use it š. The second complaint was that it will not stand up on its own. This doesn't bother me at all because my last stick vacuum, that I've had for probably 8 years, wouldn't either, so I'm used to it. I just lay it down on the floor when I need 2 hands. Not a deal breaker for me. I find I'm vacuuming more because I don't dread it like I used to. Oh, and it's quiet. Compared to my stick vacuum and my super loud cannister vacuum, it's low volume. So much so, that my cats, who would run at the sight of me just bringing out either of the 2 other vacs, will stay in place while I'm vacuuming until I get too close to them. Emptying the container is easy and getting it back is easy once you learn the trick, need to press the release button while putting it back. The canister is on the small side so needs to be emptied often, but now that I vacuum more, not as much as I did in the beginning. And it is a stick vacuum, you can't expect it to be as large as a regular vacuum. So overall I love this vacuum.

Brush reliability issues
Update 2/2024: our third brush roller just ate itself. While Bissell is good about warranty claims, I canāt go through one every year. My 45 year old Kirby still works great, so Iām back to hauling that up and down the stairs. This stick vac is only good for brushless use anymore. I canāt recommend this thing at all, though Bissell is good as a company. When it's working, this is a great little stick vacuum. It's not nearly as powerful as our 1980s vintage Kirby, but it's a fraction of the cost of a new one and way lighter. Other family members are willing to haul this thing up and down the stairs, which is totally a win for me. It does very well on pet hair, and a decent job on everything else. You don't have to worry about batteries, and it's far more powerful than a battery vac will be for several years, anyway. That's the good. BUT, I've had the same issue twice now. Bissell has been very good about accepting returns, but the fact that I've had exactly the same issue twice now, and am in the middle of my second return, tells me there is a design issue with the brush roller on this machine. Bissell call it the foot--it's the main attachment you use for cleaning floors. After about a year of use in our case (we only break this thing out every couple of weeks, so YMMV), the brush roller axle comes off-center and the roller itself starts to make contact with the housing. Since it's plastic-on-plastic, it doesn't take long for the heat to build up and pieces to start melting. Soon there's a big gob of oozy plastic gunking up the works and the whole thing is making a bit of a racket. I've never been using it when it happened, so I can't say exactly what it feels like. Using a vacuum isn't rocket science, though, so I can't imagine what we could be doing that's so unique. Definitely a design issue.

Superior cleaning, annoying design issues
I have a number of Bissell vacuums/spot cleaners and they are very very very good at cleaning/sucking up the dirt, cat hair, etc, which is why I continue to buy them. The problem often lies in the design and itās the same issues with this model. Does not stand up on its own - I thought I could get past this issue but it is extremely annoying. If you need to stop and move something out of the way, you have to prop this against something and hope it stays upright. Itās top heavy and likes to fall all the time. I donāt use the storage rack on the wall so storing it often is the same issue. Awkward dirt cylinder - Iāve watched the videos and read the instructions but the dirt container is still awkward to empty and put back into place. Top heavy - The bulk of the vacuum is at the top so it is top heavy. This makes it hard to maneuver the vacuum consistently. My arm starts to hurt after vacuuming for about 20 minutes. Squeaky wheels - for the price, the wheels should not squeak! What I like: Superior suction/cleaning. Bissell is my top brand for suction and cleaning. We have lots of cats who create lots of messes. Does wonders on cat hair, crumbs and everything else. Somehow, this unit does not suck up cat toys or wands which is miraculous and a plus if you have cat toys everywhere like we do. Long cord. Slim design lets me get into places I wouldnāt be able to. I can easily maneuver under chairs etc. Easy to switch from vac with brush roller to no roller for hard floors. Itās all controlled in the switch to turn it on Pulled up my rug. I have a runner rug that is fairly lightweight. I canāt use this on the rug without having it start to suck up the rug. Quieter than full size vacuum. Bottom line? I bought this on Prime Day and used gift cards to cover the entire cost, so Iām willing to look past the annoying issues. It serves as one of many vacuums I use around the house but I do love its slim design and superior pickup. Had I paid full price I probably would have returned it - a vac at this price should stand up on its own.

Great little vacuum!
Iāve had another vacuum for almost nine years now, but rarely used it because it isnāt good for hard floors and the attachments donāt really do the best job for getting all the stuff from under the bed. I bought this after adopting a cat, and Iām really impressed with how effective it is! It sucked up all the loose kitty litter from my wood floors in a snap, easily slid under the couch, and even made quick work of the literal years of dust bunnies under my bed. Using the crevice tool, I was even able to suck up the pesky gunk Iāve never been able to properly clean out of the rails for my sliding glass doors. The cord is long enough that I can reach my entire apartment (a large two bedroom) without unplugging, and I was able to get through everything with only one pause to empty the cup. If I had any complaints, they would be that the handle is placed a little awkwardly, and I wish it could stand on its own, but these are easy enough to get used to. Overall, Iām beyond satisfied, and really happy I decided to try something new.
