Practical and informative!
Amazing book, well-written :)Walks you through how a compiler works from the ground up, giving guidance as to how you might build your own. Used it for class and ended up with a fully functional compiler from B-Minor (the language introduced by the book as a teaching example) to x86 assembly. I came out of the class with a working knowledge of each part of a compiler and am now interested in doing more work on the subject.

Great product for the price !
We've bought several used books from this seller, and all of them have been in great shape, truly "like new". Very nice to get a practically brand new book for a fraction of the price !

Excellent intro to Compilers
The book walks you through the theory behind compilers, with illustrative examples and friendly discussions. The tools flex and bison are used for the actual implementations. You can find the book for free online from the author's website, but the paperback edition is well worth it.
