No smell and great pain relief
Great product I’ve been suffering with sciatica and this patch is the only thing that actually gave any relief. I was worried about how well it would stick it never moved it stuck like glue and offered a nice cooling sensation and relief from pain. Also no noticeable smell unlike rubbing ointment. Really good product and easy to use and no worries of it coming off

Did help post surgery
Bought these for a relative who had just undergone surgery. This was in replacement to lidocaine patches and we were recommended these as they’re not prescribed. They helped to reduce pain and inflammation to the surgical area but not all the pain was gone like it was with the lidocaine patches (due to the nature of the medication in these). Although when you can’t get them, these do help to a certain level. They were sticky and stayed in place until changed, they were easy to apply and non greasy.

Sadly too expensive to continue long term use.
These patches helped but overall far too expensive to continue with long term. Okay if only one area of pain being treated.

Not sticky enough, cannot be used as intended
Sticky surface is not sticky enough to stick to the skin. Not recommending. It's not just my skin, it's any skin, you can wash it, dry it but glue wont stick, it might stick for few seconds if you stand still...

Somehow I messed up my hip and it was seriously tight and inflamed, and let's just say I was at a level 10 as far as pain goes. I decided to try these out and I put one on and it gave some serious cooling effect that actually took my pain and swelling away. I will never be without these! 10/10 I highly recommend if you have pain and swelling and hate using actual ice. These are an amazing alternative.

Bio freeze is my go to for pain relief. The menthol in the patches seems to work for me. I drive alot so I usually put a patch on my shoulder and my lower back for soothing relief. Sometimes lower back the patch doesn't adhere properly probably from my shirt bunching up. I tried some pieces of medical tape to keep in place. Overall a good product when needed.

These are excellent for my lower back pain. If I wear it to bed at night, I wake up pain-free. I don’t understand that some people say they aren’t sticky enough. I have never had an issue with them. Also, the Biofreeze brand is worth paying a little more for as the generic definitely don’t work nearly as well on the pain. The patches are more expensive than the spray or roll-on, but not nearly as messy or smelly.

i bought three different products and was surprised how this company calls this a large patch. while they do give the measurements prior to purchase i had to see them for myself and try them out before i made any comment about the product. they have a strong scent but i didnt buy them for the smell. i wanted a BACK size pad and not one for a wrist or quarter neck size. i wont buy this product again as i can get many more products and get better results. These have a varying satisfactory history with me this all depends on the weather, the temperature how much you sweat, where you are putting the pad and more. If you can use medical tape to hold these in place because they can roll off or become too mushy to work properly. It also depends on where you put these pads (and, oh btw you don't want to apply this and then touch sensitive areas like you eyes or any others sensitive area before you wash your hands. Wash first and diligently before anywhere else. I use them on my neck, arms, legs chest and back. They are NOT perfect for everyone but they do provide some pain relief for me. There isn't one perfect tool which will work on everyone. Some may need physical therapy and/or pain relief meds and/or wraps/support devices. I am trying the icy hot roll on product to be more targeting to locations of pain. There are advantages to using the pads and advantages to using the roll on. The pads don't transfer the medication to clothing as the roll on will but when the medication wears off from the pads you just peal it off and wash the area well. There is nothing to throw away with the roll on. The pads require to be kept in a sealed bag so they don't all activate in air and become useless when needed so the roll on gains traction over the pads for transport and use. Having said all that, again, its all personal choice. You might need to try them all and decide if you want/need increased/decreased medical strength of one over the other or which chemical is used for one or the other. Some may have negative reaction to one over the other. You might even need to speak to your physician before you try any of these pads/roll one for me its mostly a question of how bad the pain is on a given day, what activities I will be involved in, the weather and other factors on a daily basis. I will say this again, WATCH WHAT YOU TOCH AFTER HANDLING ANY OF THESE ITEMS AS THEY CAN CAUSE LOCALIZED MEDICAL ISSUES (LIKE GROIN) OR WORSE IF YOU TOUCH ANYWHERE NEAR EYES.

I've had back problems for the last 3 1/2 years and I get so much relief using these patches. I've tried two other kinds, Salon Pas and Icy Hot. Icy hot works well, but if you don't wash everything, it's touched, your clothing, your sheets, pillowcases, even jackets worn over your shirt, it starts to smell rancid . Salon Pas does too. Not Biofreeze. I don't know why this one is different and doesn't ever smell like anything but menthol, but this is what I'll buy from now on until I find something, perhaps a prescription, so I don't have to smell like menthol even. But it's far preferable to the miserable stench all over the apartment I'm dealing with now. So much so, I decided to write a review for Biofreeze because I bought the icy hut somewhere else and have no other way to warn folks. I like to order them in three packs for convenience. This seller got it to me quickly and for the best price.
